Today we remember 9/11; 🇺🇸

Seasoning, mixing, baking, and sampling Apple Crisp … then washing the dishes of course! … all in a day at Good Shepherd Catholic Regional School in Pre-K 4!
(We got to sample the apple crisp as well and it was delicious!😋)

Our teachers are taking part in Promethian Interactive Board training this afternoon! They are so excited to work learn and looking forward to sharing and working on them with the students in PK-grade 8!

Thank you to all of the families who, since 1972, have sent their children to schools of the GWCRS, including Holy Family School, Sacred Heart School, Our Lady of Victories School, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School (which later became Msgr. Gadoury School), St. Ann's School, St. Joseph's School, Father Holland School, and currently send to Good Shepherd Catholic Regional School.
So many of our former students have and continue to send their children to our school. It is always wonderful to see them return and continue the tradition of Catholic Education with their own children. They are always so happy to see many familiar faces of long-time staff members who remain at Good Shepherd; once a part of GWCRS, always part of our GWCRS family.

Today we were honored to receive a call that these former GWCRS/Good Shepherd alumna wanted to come by this afternoon to visit! It was great seeing them with their graduation caps and gowns! 🎓Graduates are from Bishop Feehan HS, St. Raphael Academy, LaSalle Academy, Mount St. Charles Academy, North Smithfield HS, Cumberland HS and Woonsocket HS.
They visited their former teachers at Good Shephrrd: Mrs. Berard, Mrs. Chudy, Mr. VanOrsouw, Mrs. Piedmonte, Mrs. Pincince…(some even saw their former PreK teacher Mrs. Losardo and aide Mrs. Guilbert!) and they loved seeing Mrs. DeOliveira, their former principal and their elementary school secretary Mrs. Lambert❤️
Best wishes to these fine young ladies as they follow their dreams!!

With great joy the Diocese of Providence announces the ordination of Deacon Mark Gadoury to the Sacred Priesthood. Most Rev. Thomas J. Tobin, Bishop of Providence, will confer the Sacrament of Holy Orders at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 10 a.m. All are invited to attend!

From Mrs. Woodmansee: “Fourth grade recently participated in a rock cycle candy lab. First they cut their “rocks “ into sediments and pressed them together to make sedimentary rocks. Next they melted them into magma and placed them in the freezer to cool and harden. They then broke these into igneous rocks. Finally they softened and heated them in the microwave and applied pressure to turn them into Marbleized metamorphic rocks. And they ate lots of candy during the process.”
