Parents of Wee Wonders Day Care students can rest assured that their children will be nurtured in a safe, warm, secure, and fun environment. Wee Wonders teachers and staff use the Rhode Island Early Learning De

velopment Standards as a guide for what children should know, understand, and be able to do to support their learning. Understanding that children can have unique learning styles, developmental levels, and interests, we use these standards as a tool to help each child learn and grow.

I predict this Class of 2024 will make an impression in Kindergarten and all the way to higher schools of learning. Their first day of school has already shown excitement, & confidence to be a Kindergartner. They just need to hear our voice and keep remembering the social emotional skills we worked on day, after day, through out their time with us. Three of them had been enrolled close to five years. So they Got this!!! We’re rooting for you!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!!! As you celebrate this Fourth of July think about why you are celebrating. This week we read this story to our preschoolers. The word LIBERTY pops up! Great a new word to learn. What does that mean? One child raised her hand and said”Liberty, Liberty, Bibbitty.” Do you recognize that saying? It’s an Insurance Commercial!!! 😂🤣 Well needless to say that’s the best I’ve heard in in along time. I’m documenting this one for sure. But let’s really get serious about this word. What is “Liberty”, What does it mean??? Look it up even if you think you know the answer. As you Celebrate this 4th of July, think about the “LIBERTY” you have living in this country. Be sure to respect and acknowledge our military members and families for your “LIBERTY” Happiest Fourth of July to all and please be Peacefully Safe!!!

Our Preschool friends learned that children who live in Australia enjoy Christmas in the Summer and may go to the beach on Christmas Day. It’s been said that Santa has to change his clothes into shorts, flip flops and Sunglasses when he gets there. Because it’s too hot. He also gives the reindeer a break due to the heat, and uses the kangaroos to help distribute the presents. This was a big “WoW” moment response from the class. As a project to complement the lesson, they created a Kangaroo Santa.

Congratulations to this year’s Wee Wonders Students as they move on to Kindergarten! Wishing them and their family well into the next year of learning was a little emotional as the finals days approached. Signing the Alumni wall always confirms, the time has come to say good bye. But don’t ever forget where you started! So always feel you can come back home to visit your first school and teachers. Go be the best you can ever Be!
