Official Mount Saint Charles Academy MSC is a private, Catholic junior-senior high school in the tradition of the Brothers of the Sacred

Mount Saint Charles Academy is a coeducational, Catholic, junior-senior high school located in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Founded by the Brothers of The Sacred Heart in 1924, Mount Saint Charles Academy continues a tradition of educational excellence and holistic formation within a caring and supportive faith community. We believe that a student learns through his or her experience of the total school environment. As a result of this belief, we begin with the formation of a school community where, through diverse academic, co-curricular, faith development and service experiences, the whole child can be formed.

One more Walkathon memory before we hit the road tomorrow! 👟

“I remember looking forward to Walkathon every year as a student. It was one of those special Mount days. A break from the normal routine, a chance to walk alongside friends, laugh, and simply enjoy being together as a school community.

Now, as President, I appreciate that day differently. Walkathon is about much more than the miles we walk. It is about belonging to something bigger than ourselves and generations of Mount students, families, faculty, staff, and alumni coming together for a place that has meant so much to so many of us.

Some of my favorite memories of Mount are not from a classroom or a big event. They are from simple moments spent with friends on days like Walkathon. I hope our students create those same memories this year, and I hope our alumni and friends will join us by making a gift. Every contribution is another way of saying, ‘I’m still walking with the Mount!’”

- Dr. Alan Tenreiro ’92, President

Tomorrow, another generation of Mounties will make their own Walkathon memories. There’s still time to join them in supporting this Mount tradition! Support Walkathon 2026: www.mountsaintcharles.org/walkathon/

Walkathon is just a few days away!

This year, Mounties have an extra reason to get those final donations in. 10% of the funds raised by each class will go directly to their class account, helping support class events, activities, and experiences throughout the year.

Every donation makes a difference for Mount and gives our students the chance to give back to their own class along the way.

There’s still time to support your favorite Mountie before we hit the road on Friday! Visit www.mountsaintcharles.org/walkathon/ to support our students!

It’s Walkathon Week, and we’re throwing it back to the ’90s with Class of 2000 graduate and current Athletic Director Ray Leveille! 👟

For Ray, Walkathon was always one of the highlights of the school year. From starting the day with the TC breakfast to walking and laughing with friends and stopping to joke around with teachers at the checkpoints, it was a day that brought the whole Mount community together.

“It was just a fun day where everyone was together, and you could really feel the sense of community and Mount pride that made being a student at MSC so special.”

More than 25 years later, that tradition continues with today’s Mounties. Walkathon 2026 is this Friday, October 9!

A celebration of faith, community, and a lifetime of service! ❤️

Our Mount community gathered for the first school Mass of the year to celebrate Foundation Day for the Brothers of the Sacred Heart and a special milestone for our very own Brother Marty.

Brother Marty renewed his vows in celebration of his 70th jubilee, marking seven decades of faith and dedication as a Brother of the Sacred Heart. We are grateful for his presence in our community and the example he continues to set through his love and service.

Mount's upcoming Walkathon is a chance to give back and honor someone who made your Mount experience special!

As we celebrate Brother Marty’s 70th jubilee, we invite you to support Mount with a Walkathon gift in his honor. You can also dedicate your donation to any past or present faculty member whose guidance, encouragement, or kindness left a lasting impression.

When donating, enter “Brother Marty” or the faculty member’s name in the field asking which student you are supporting.

A Walkathon walk down memory lane! 👟

For more than 40 years, generations of Mounties have laced up their sneakers and taken part in one of our favorite Mount traditions.

We dug into the archives for a few Walkathon throwbacks from the 1980s through the 2010s. Swipe through to see some familiar faces, changing styles, and plenty of Walkathon memories along the way.

Mount alumni, we want to hear from you! What do you remember most about Walkathon? Drop your favorite memories in the comments and tag any Mounties you recognize.

The tradition continues on October 9! www.mountsaintcharles.org/walkathon/
