Last week, we came together to celebrate our Students of the Month and Student Artists of the Month, enjoy a healthy dose of staff vs. student competition, and spend some time together as a school community.

There’s nothing quite like having the whole Beacon community under one roof. 💙

A huge thank you to the Stadium Theatre for giving us a space to gather, celebrate our students, and bring back one of our favorite Beacon traditions!

WOONSOCKET – Beacon Charter Schools has announced Woonsocket native Elizabeth Flynn, a health and physical education teacher at Beacon Charter High School for the Arts, as the 2026 District Teacher

Congratulations to our friends at Woonsocket High School on this important new effort ⭐️ We are always encouraged to see more resources becoming available to families who need them.

For the past seven years, Beacon Charter Schools has operated a Food Pantry of our own, an initiative that has grown tremendously thanks to the generosity and partnership of organizations throughout our community.

Today, we are proud to regularly provide food assistance to more than 40 families, both within our schools and throughout the greater Woonsocket community. While this work doesn’t always happen in the spotlight, it has been an important part of how we care for our students, families, and neighbors for many years. This work is so important, that we funded the program ourselves when other funding sources were not made available to us.

We have seen firsthand how rising grocery costs and other financial pressures are affecting local families. If you or someone you know could use a little extra support, we are here for you. No questions asked.

🎉 WOONSOCKET HIGH SCHOOL FOOD PANTRY GRAND OPENING 🎉

Last Thursday, SRO Detective Scott Breguet joined Woonsocket High School in celebrating the Grand Opening of the Woonsocket High School Food Pantry!

What started as an idea between Detective Breguet and Assistant Principal Lauren Windsor has now become a reality, creating a valuable resource that will make a meaningful difference for Woonsocket students and their families.

Detective Breguet went above and beyond his duties as a School Resource Officer to help bring this project to life. His dedication to the students and families of our community is a great example of what community policing is all about building relationships, recognizing needs, and working together to make a positive impact.

The Woonsocket Police Department is proud of Detective Breguet and everyone at Woonsocket High School who helped make the Food Pantry possible.

Join us for our first virtual PTO meeting of the school year on Monday, September 14 at 5:30 PM. It’s a great chance to get involved, share ideas, and learn about exciting events planned for the 2026-27 school year.

Last night, our awesome PTO team connected with Texas Roadhouse at a welcome back event, discussing amazing fundraising opportunities. Mark your calendars for the Texas Roadhouse Dine to Donate on October 29th.
