We are at that time of year where freezers get cleaned out therefore sometimes lunch menus will be adjusted and the elementary may not be getting the same thing as high school is. Today was the first day of that! Prek - 6th got soft shell tacos and 7-12 got walking tacos. We will try to keep everyone updated with what is on the menu for cooks choice days.
As of today it is looking like
5/14 - cheese pizza
5//15 - pizza assortment
5/18 - chicken assortment
5/19 - Prek - 3rd - cheeseburger calzone
4 - 6 - cheeseburger calzone or cheeseburger
7 - 12 cheeseburger or chicken patty
5/20 - hotdogs

This semester, Mrs. Kohlmeyer’s creative writing class has been hard at work developing their skills in article writing. As part of this experience, students had the opportunity to tour the Sanborn Weekly Journal office, where they got a behind-the-scenes look at everything that goes into creating a weekly newspaper. It was a great way for them to see real-world writing and publishing in action. Students have put those skills to use by interviewing staff members here at Woonsocket School and turning those conversations into articles. Starting next week, we’re excited to begin showcasing their work. We’re kicking things off by highlighting our amazing lunch staff in celebration of School Lunch Hero Day. We appreciate all that they do for our students each and every day!

We have started offering lunches to go for our track and golf students. Coaches will have the sign up sheets. Please have students sign up a day or two before the event. Lunches can be picked up in the cafeteria before they get on the bus.
