This morning, First Woodway Baptist Church provided breakfast, encouragement, and a few small gifts to area educators and district employees. Acts of kindness like this mean more than they will ever know.

With school starting back in just over a week, Midway ISD Police Department will be sharing daily safety tips to help everyone prepare for a safe start to the school year.

Whether you're a new driver, a parent dropping off your child, a bus rider, or simply traveling through our community, we all play a role in keeping our roads, sidewalks, crosswalks, and parking lots safe.

Our goal is simple: every student, staff member, and visitor arrives safely and returns home safely each day.

Follow along over the next week as we share important traffic laws, safety reminders, and practical tips to help make this school year a safe one for everyone.

School starts soon! As we get closer to the first day of school, please remember to brush up on Texas school bus traffic laws and use extra caution around school buses and students.

When a school bus stops to load or unload children, every decision you make behind the wheel matters. A few extra seconds of patience can help ensure every student gets to and from school safely.

At Midway ISD Police Department, our officers will be actively enforcing school bus traffic laws throughout the school year. Our goal isn't to write tickets—it's to protect our students.

We’ve got to give a shout out to Officer Terry Mason! Officer Mason is a Midway ISD Police Officer assigned to Hewitt Elementary as the Campus Safety Specialist! All of our police officers and Campus Safety Specialists work tirelessly everyday to provide a safe learning environment for your kids! If you see one of our guys please let them know what a great job they do each day!
