🔎🍎 We have some little mathematicians at work!

Our Pre-K friends at Kids ‘R’ Kids of Woodway are learning that there’s more than one way to show a number!

During our Chicka Chicka 1, 2, 3 activities, students practiced recognizing numerals, counting objects, building quantities in ten frames, rolling and identifying amounts on dice, and using hands-on materials to solve their own little math challenges. 🎲🧮

Activities like these build the foundation for number sense, counting with one-to-one correspondence, subitizing, comparing quantities, problem-solving, fine-motor development, and mathematical confidence.

We love creating opportunities for our Pre-K learners to explore first, think for themselves, and discover the answer — because learning sticks when children get to DO it. 💙💛

🍎 Math that looks like play… but builds BIG skills. ✨

In Pre-K, we’re not just memorizing numbers—we’re learning what numbers actually mean! 🧠

Today our little learners chose a number, identified it, and then used their ten-frame mats to build the matching quantity. Along the way, they’re practicing counting, one-to-one correspondence, number recognition, subitizing, fine-motor skills, and problem solving—all through hands-on play. 🍎🔢

Because kindergarten readiness doesn’t have to mean worksheets all day. At Kids ‘R’ Kids, we believe some of the BEST learning happens when children are moving, touching, exploring, and having FUN. 💙

🌴 CHICKA CHICKA… can our tree hold the whole alphabet?! 🔤👀

This week, our Pre-K kiddos are bringing one of our favorite stories to life with a hands-on Chicka Chicka Boom Boom STEM challenge! 🌴✨

First, they build their very own Chicka Chicka tree using simple materials. Then comes the challenge: How many letters can you balance before they all come tumbling down? 😆

It may look like play, but there’s SO much learning happening along the way! Our little engineers are practicing problem-solving, fine motor skills, letter recognition, counting, creativity, and a whole lot of trial + error. 🧠🙌

Today our Pre-K kiddos were busy matching letters, practicing number recognition, strengthening those little hand muscles, and building early literacy + math skills—all through hands-on activities that make them want to learn. ✏️🔤
