Woodward Middle and High School Choirs

Our WHS and WMS singers had a great day at district contest yesterday! The MS choirs received straight superior (I) ratings on stage and in sight-reading. The WHS mixed choir received straight superior ratings on stage and a II in sight-reading. Finally the WHS treble choir received straight superior ratings on stage and in sight reading. Both HS choirs qualified for state contest. This is the third year in a row to make it to state!

In the solo and ensemble contest:
9 MS singers received a I, and 1 received a II.
14 HS singers received a I (qualifies for state), 1 received a II, and 1 a III.
The Boomer Expressions ensemble also received a I.
Any solos or ensembles that receive a 1 will also advance to state!

Results from two contests today!

This morning, the 7th and 8th grade choir and the 6th grade choir received straight 1’s for their performance at Seiling Music Festival.

The HS choirs traveled to Stillwater for State Choir Contest this afternoon.
The mixed choir received a 1 on stage and 2 in sight reading.
The treble choir received a 2 on stage and a 3 in sight reading.
