📵 Alabama’s FOCUS Act — What Parents & Students Should Know

The FOCUS Act is still in effect in Alabama public schools with one goal: reduce distractions and improve student focus.

📱 No use of phones or other wireless communication devices during the instructional day.

🚫 Devices must be completely turned OFF and stored OFF the student’s person (not in pockets). They must be placed in a locker, vehicle, backpack or other school-approved storage area.

⏰ The instructional day includes more than class time—it also covers class changes, lunch, and other non-instructional periods during the school day.

🎓 Exceptions apply for documented medical or educational needs, supervised instructional use, and emergencies involving life or safety.

The purpose is simple: school time should be focused on learning.

Less distraction. More engagement. More learning. 📚

We are incredibly proud to announce that Woodville High School has been recognized for outstanding academic growth during the 2025–2026 school year! This achievement is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students, teachers, staff, and families.

Growth doesn’t happen by chance. It happens through commitment, teamwork, and a shared belief that every student can succeed. We are thankful for everyone who played a part in helping our students reach new heights.

This recognition is worth celebrating, but it’s also motivation to keep striving for excellence. We are excited to see what our students will accomplish in the year ahead!

💛🖤 Congratulations to our entire school family, but especially these outstanding educators who achieved academic excellence recognition. We are proud to be Panthers!
