Every day, I have the opportunity to work with some incredible young people through JAG New Hampshire, and I wish everyone could see what I see.
I see students who are struggling to find their confidence discover their voice. I see students who doubt themselves step into leadership roles. I see young people overcome obstacles, set goals, and begin to believe in futures they never thought were possible.
JAG isn't just a class or a program. It's a place where students are supported, encouraged, challenged, and reminded that they matter. It's a place where they learn life skills, career skills, and most importantly, that someone believes in them.
As an educator, there is nothing more rewarding than watching a student realize their potential. Those moments happen every day because of the opportunities JAG provides.

Today, a few of the WHS JAG officers had the opportunity to visit the 8th grade students at Haverhill Cooperative Middle School to talk about the transition from middle school to high school. From sharing personal experiences and advice to answering questions about classes, activities, friendships, and finding success at Woodsville High School, it was a great conversation focused on helping students feel more confident and prepared for this exciting next step.
We are proud of our JAG students for being positive role models and helping support the next generation of WHS students! 💙🖤

Yesterday, several of our JAG students had the opportunity to give back to the community by participating in the United Way Day of Caring! Students spent the day at Horse Meadow Senior Center helping clean and organize the dining room to create a welcoming space for local seniors.
We are proud of our students for demonstrating teamwork, leadership, and community service while making a positive impact right here in our community. Thank you to the United Way and Horse Meadow Senior Center for allowing our students to be part of such a meaningful day! 💙

Last week, our JAG students had an incredible hands-on learning opportunity during their visit to the Grafton County Department of Corrections, where they explored a variety of careers and operations within the criminal justice system.
Students toured the jail facilities, learned about dispatch operations, probation & parole services, and visited both the sheriff’s office and the Haverhill Police Department, where they got to see the inside of a police cruiser and learn more about the equipment officers use every day.
One of the highlights of the day was seeing Watson in action! Watson is a highly trained working canine specializing in electronic detection. During a live demonstration, several USB devices were hidden throughout the area, and Watson successfully detected every single one alongside his handler.
Experiences like this give our students valuable insight into public safety careers while showcasing the many specialized roles that help keep our communities safe. A special thank you to Officer Antone for arranging this outstanding tour and to everyone who took the time to host, educate, and inspire our students!
