Woodstock D200 Elementary Orchestra Program

Woodstock D200 Elementary Orchestra Program Beginning in 4th grade, District 200 offers an orchestra program in which students can learn to play either violin, viola, cello, or string bass! Mrs. Evens, Ms.

In 2011 District 200 received a grant to create the current orchestra program. Blaho started the program at the 4th grade level. Since then Mrs. Bastian (Tingley), Ms. Forbes, and Mrs. Savittieri have joined the team and helped grow the program to the high schools. Students can pick a string instrument to learn in the fourth grade and have the ability to continue in orchestra through high school.

Ms. Forbes teacher 4/5th grade at Dean Street, Olson, Westwood, Mary Endres, and Greenwood. Evens teachers 4/5th grade at Prairiewood. Bastian teachers 6-8th grade at Creekside Middle School and Orchestra at Woodstock High School. Savittieri teaches 6-8th grade at Northwood Middle School and Orchestra at Woodstock North High School.
