I had the honor of sharing Trades of Hope this week at a corporate environment showroom. I had displays throughout & met a lot of new friends! Thanks to Nicole & Wesley for inviting me! This is the cute after picture they sent to their guests, I love their logo too!

Our Trades of Hope Founders just got word from our artisans in Nepal. They wrote us this email:
"Trades of Hope,
Thank you for your thoughts and wishes !
We are all terrified here of the current situation. Till yesterday, everyone was alerted to stay outside and safe. So, about 95% of the people stayed for last 4 days in an open shelter in a tent. Slowly, people are going back home but still are terrified. Many of the houses, historical temples have been collapsed and death rate has reached 5,000 people. Still efforts are being made to take people out of traps.
We are safe here ! But we still need to have status of all of our staffs and artisans. Some of them are injured and houses of some of them are collapsed. Many of the places do not have electricity and access to internet.It will take some time to get back to normal. We need to check status of the buildings and people here/
We did not have internet ! So, could not reply ! Hopefully, we can start our operations from next week."
So thankful, but prayers must continue for all the people of Nepal!

Six months ago Jenia was in the street in front of the artisan house, homeless, alone with her baby girl in her arms, and looking for an orphanage. Today she is being trained in ceramics and her daughter is thriving in the daycare. She also has her own little apartment. She is why we do what we do. It's not about jewelry or ornaments... It's about people and hope.
