Belt Testing week is almost here. We are ready to cheer on our students and celebrate their progress.

What to Expect
Students will test during their assigned time. Please register today so we can finalize rosters and order the correct belt sizes.

Newer students who are not yet ready to test may join a mock test. This keeps them training with their classmates and building confidence.

Graduation is a center-stage celebration. Students will show what they have learned in front of friends and family.

Quick Reminders
Turn in your application promptly. This helps us order belts and prepare certificates.

Bring the whole family to graduation. Photos and memories are encouraged.

Belt testing is right around the corner! Testing will take place September 8–12, and graduation will be held on Saturday, September 13. Here is everything you need to know:

Testing Applications
Applications will go out next Monday. If you receive an application, please know that this is not simply a recommendation. Every student who receives one has been hand-selected by our coaching staff. Our instructors have been watching closely on the mat and believe these students are ready to perform their best on the test.

Parents, we know you are the toughest critics of your children. But remember, our coaches are professionals. They see details in training and performance that often go unnoticed. For beginner students especially, testing is about building a foundation. Think of it like a Friday night game for other sports — it is their chance to get on the field and give it a try. Holding them back when they have trained for 12 weeks can impact their motivation and continued progress.

Schedule and Mock Testing
Please note that there will be no regular classes during testing week. For our new students, we encourage you to participate in a mock test. A mock test allows new students to join their classmates, gain experience, and continue training that week while preparing for when it is their turn to officially test.

Graduation Ceremony
Graduation will be held at the Hickory Flat Gym. This will be a center-stage event where students showcase everything they have learned in front of their families. We will also feature a special performance from the Epic Demo Team and coaches, making this a celebration you will not want to miss.

Important Reminder
When testing applications are sent home, please complete and return them as soon as possible. This ensures we can order belts and sizes in time for the graduation ceremony.

This weekend, it’s time to step into the arena… Spar Wars Tournament is here! 🚀

📅 Date: Saturday, August 24
🕛 Time: 12:00 – 1:30 PM
📍 Location: Epic Martial Arts

We’ll kick things off with a Sparring Seminar, where students will learn techniques, drills, and strategies to boost their sparring confidence. Then, we’ll launch into the tournament where students can put their skills to the test!

🏆 Rewards & Recognition
Every participant will receive an official Spar Wars medal.

The 1st place champion will earn the title of Spar Wars Champion for the year, sign their name on the Epic Sparring Championship Belt, and stand tall on the podium for their victory moment!

Perfect for both beginners and advanced students — we promise, no one gets “thrown to the wolves.” That’s why we start with the seminar.
