Growing Alegría, growing with our community. ❣️

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to present Alegría Learning alongside other amazing entrepreneurs and community leaders.

This experience gave me the opportunity to share the heart behind Alegría, where we are today, and the vision I have for where we can go next.

Most importantly, I walked away with new ideas, valuable feedback, and fresh perspectives on how Alegría can continue to grow and better serve the children and families in our community.

Here’s to dreaming bigger, learning from others, and creating more opportunities for our children to experience the joy of Spanish language and culture!

I thought raising bilingual kids would look the same for both of my children… but I quickly learned that every child has their own language journey. ❤️

My 9-year-old is bilingual and fluent in Spanish. My 5-year-old? He once wanted NOTHING to do with Spanish. 😅

Through consistency, patience, and exposure to Spanish in different environments, we’re finally seeing him open up—and it has been such a beautiful journey to witness.

I’m sharing our story because if you’re raising a bilingual child and wondering, “Why isn’t my child speaking Spanish yet?”—you’re not alone.

Behind Alegría Learning is a teacher who believes that learning a second language should feel joyful, meaningful, and natural.

I bring my heart for teaching, my hispanic roots, my experience as an educator, and my passion for creating engaging experiences where children can learn, play, explore, and build confidence in Spanish.

At Alegría, I hope to give every child more than just Spanish vocabulary—I want them to develop a love for the language, an appreciation for culture, and the confidence to communicate.

I’m so grateful to build this little community one Spanish word, song, story, and smile at a time. 💛

I’ll be sharing the story behind Alegría, what inspired me to create it, and how we’re bringing Spanish immersion to children and families in our community.
