Two Hour Delay Tomorrow

Due to the ongoing snow, our team needs more time to clear the campuses. So they can get the snow cleared, there will be a two hour delay for all schools and programs tomorrow. Thank you.

All MVSD Schools Closed Tomorrow

All schools in the Mountain Views School District are closed tomorrow due to inclement weather. Due to the predicted heavy snow tonight and most of tomorrow, all MVSU schools will be closed on Monday, January 26th. Stay warm.

RES Power Outage

Currently, RES is without power. GMP anticipates that power will be returned between 1:00 and 3:00 today. Principal Rank and teachers report they have lunch, water and it is warm enough in the building to remain there until power is returned. Parents may pick up students early if they wish.

All MVSD Schools Closed Today

All schools in the Mountain Views School District are closed today due to inclement weather. Snow will come in later but will be heavy in the mountains from 10:00 to 4:00 making driving hazardous in late morning and afternoon.

Monitoring tomorrow's weather conditions

Currently watching weather conditions for tomorrow. At this time Killington and Barnard are predicted to receive from 5 to 8 inches of snow from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This would produce hazardous driving conditions. I will continue to monitor and may cancel school in the morning.

Hello. All schools in the Mountain Views School District are closed tomorrow due to the current Storm Warning issued by the Weather Service. Snow is predicted to begin by 7:00 am and continue throughout the day making driving conditions hazardous. Stay home and stay safe. Thank you.

Due to power outages at our schools and trees in the road from the ice storm, all MVSU Schools will have a two hour delay. This may become a closure if power does not come on. Please watch for additional notices. Thank you.

The Mountain Views School Board thanks our communities for supporting and passing our school budget. While there are many things changing in our state in regards to education, we remain committed to educating all students, providing a quality education. We will continue to listen to our communities in the uncertain times ahead of us. Thank you for this vote of confidence by passing the budget.

Please be advised: The board is holding a brief Special Meeting for a financial matter prior to the regularly scheduled committee meetings tonight, Monday, February 24, 2025. While public comment is available at special meetings, it is limited to agenda items only. Regularly scheduled monthly meetings allow for the opportunity to comment on non-agenda items. The next monthly meeting is March 10, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.
