The Woodstock Academy

The Woodstock Academy Independent Academy Serving Day and Boarding Students, Grades 9-PG Current enrollment is over 1,000 students.

The Woodstock Academy has prided itself on educating students for a lifetime of learning since its founding in 1801. The Academy is a comprehensive, independent, coeducational secondary school serving the sending towns of Woodstock, Eastford, Brooklyn, Pomfret, Canterbury, and Union. Students from other surrounding Connecticut towns, neighboring states, and all over the world also choose to attend The Academy.

📣 WA Cheer is back! The Revival is ready to bring the energy alongside our dance team. Go follow and

🏈 WA Football is celebrating 20 years this season! And yes, they’re already putting the brand-new Kelly Field turf to work.

⚽️ Speaking of that fresh turf… has been making itself right at home.

🏃‍♀️The South Campus track got a major glow-up this summer, and and the boys cross country team have been out there getting to work.

🏐 has its first scrimmage TODAY!

⚽️ officially starts its season TODAY!

⚽️ hits the field for its first game on 9/8!

⚽️ unified soccer’s season starts 9/3

Basically: fall at WA is about to be BUSY.

New Student Day is all about getting the lay of the land. 🗺

Today we welcomed the Class of 2030 and other new students to campus so they could meet their teachers, map out their schedules, sign up for clubs and activities, and feel confident and prepared for the full school opening tomorrow.

We had a great time reconnecting with our alumni at S&P Oyster in Mystic this week. Alums from the class of ’82 through ’17 joined us to swap stories and hear about what WA is like today.

Bonus-since we were out on the patio, we got to watch the ships pass through when the drawbridge was up! ⚓
