It’s a GREAT day at Towne Lake Driving School! Tested 5 students. All passed with flying colors. One we may be related to. One showed us how persistence pays off. Even one of our parents got excited!!!!

As any of our students know, on the last day of class at Towne Lake Driving School you sign the board on your way out. Each year, we clear the board and start anew….. with one exception. Reed Schonberger remains on our board as a reminder to our students and all of us that “it’s ok to not be ok”. Today would be Reed’s 21st birthday. Coincidence that today the board was cleared? I think not. If you’ve had a child come through our class, ask them about Reed, have a mental health check in, let them know they are loved!!!!!

Today we are reminded of the frailty of life. Today we encourage all families to have reminder conversations around the immense impact of driving. Today we lift up our community.

Our friend Jessica has been in the hospital off and on with her son since he was 2 years old! If you’re not aware her son Nicholas, a TLDS student, was diagnosed with a brain tumor and has been inpatient at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta since then! He’s endured many years of chemo therapy along with 6 weeks of radiation therapy, and countless surgeries!
They are currently in the hospital again and have been for a month now!
Jessica was blessed with a care package during this stay! It touched her heart ❤️ so much! It is her hope to pay it forward by blessing 377 Warrior Caretakers staying with their child at the hospital moving forward with a package full of goodies! Why 377? That’s exactly how many rooms there are here at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite!
