Ann Burrell McCarty’s update from today:

“As they say, the devil is in the details. It's getting closer to what I want. I think I have to live with it for a little while. Take a break from it and then look at it later. There are parts that I really like and there are parts that make me sort of squint. I will say that it looks better in person than in the picture. Next project, big canvas!”

Audition Alert: The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
August 22 & 23 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, August 24 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Auditionees will read from the script. Arrive at the beginning of the session and prepare to stay for the entire 2 hours. Callbacks are Monday, August 24.

Rehearsals: M-F September 7 - November 19, some Saturdays.
Performances: November 20 - December 20, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30, Sundays at 2:30

Today’s updates from Ann Burrell McCarty:
Not my usual to attempt an urban scene and an 14 x11. I prefer bigger canvases and paint brushes. Today was to get proportions and colors for the block in. This one will require multiple layers to get the atmosphere for dusk.
