Sundays are for ballerinas & burnouts!

We traded the dance floor for a car show today, and the Stafford Dance Academy had an absolute BLAST!

Getting out into our community and meeting new people is something we really love — and today was a perfect example of why. We talked dance, admired some seriously amazing cars, made new connections, and had plenty of fun along the way!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and to the organizers of the 12th Annual Autism Speaks Car Show for putting together such a great event. We were so happy to be part of it!

SEPTEMBER 11, 2001

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families, friends, and communities whose lives were forever changed.

We remember the courage of the first responders, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the countless people who came together to help one another in the days that followed.

May we never forget.

And may we continue to teach our children the importance of kindness, courage, compassion, and looking out for one another.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Kinda chic… when your studio isn’t always picture perfect.

Fingerprints on the door. Shoes in the cubbies. A messy bathroom. A very lived-in office. A dancewear closet full of clothes passed from one growing dancer to the next. And at the end of the day, an empty, dark studio waiting for tomorrow.

None of it is perfect — and honestly, we wouldn’t want it to be.

Because those little signs of “real life” mean kids are here. They’re dancing, growing, making friends, learning new things, and making memories.

So yes… we’re calling it kinda chic.

✨ ONE MONTH OF THE DANCE AT SDA! ✨

How is it already the end of our first month?!

The studio has been full of new friendships, new skills, lots of dancing, and plenty of smiles over the past few weeks.

We’ve loved welcoming back so many returning dancers and getting to know the new faces who have joined our SDA family this season!

Watching dancers settle into their classes, make new friends, and start building confidence is one of our favorite parts of the year.

And if your dancer hasn't joined us yet, it’s not too late! We still have openings in select classes for the 2026–2027 season.

I loved hearing this doctor explain the connection between movement, the brain, and sports — and I was especially excited to hear DANCE included!

Dance isn’t just about learning steps. It combines movement, music, coordination, memory, creativity, focus, and the opportunity to continually challenge the brain in a fun and engaging way.

At the Stafford Dance Academy, we believe every child deserves a place where they can move, learn, grow, and feel successful.
