✨ Mr Nic Chic “RIPLEY” — $18,000 asking but open to offers✨2016 AQHA Registered Buckskin Gelding | 14.1 HH
Ripley is for sale through absolutely NO fault of his own. No, seriously—the only reason we’re even having this conversation is that his wonderful owner is retiring and wants to make sure this special guy has the very best opportunities for his next chapter.
And while I’ll be completely honest and say I’m not thrilled about seeing him leave our program, my biggest priority is helping Ripley find the right person and his next big adventure. ❤️
🏆 THE BASICS
• 2016 AQHA registered gelding
• Beautiful buckskin
• 14.1 HH
• Barefoot
• No maintenance outside of regular routine care
• Easy keeper and genuinely easy to have around
🥇 THE RESUME
Ripley has a resume that speaks for itself:
• Finished and winning 3D/4D barrel horse with plenty of room to continue developing
• Finished flag-carrying drill horse
• Youth deluxe — used in lessons for riders of all abilities
• Successfully used for summer camps, kinder lessons, and nervous adult beginners
• Safe and dependable trail horse
• Has enjoyed overnight camping
• Exposed to cattle, pole bending, working equitation, trail obstacles, and probably a dozen other things I’m forgetting to mention
• His attitude is simple: ask him to try something and he’ll give it an honest shot
❤️ FROM HIS TRAINER
I’ve had Ripley in my program for over 6 years, and he has truly become a staple here.
He is a fan favorite for a reason. He has a quiet demeanor, smooth gaits, a sweet personality, and the kind of versatility that makes him incredibly valuable. He has been an active money-maker in our program through youth leases, drill use, and lesson credits.
More importantly, he has been the kind of horse you can trust to show up and do his job.
He isn't just a horse with a resume—he's a horse who has been a part of our program, our students' experiences, and our everyday life for years. This includes six years of medical and maintenance history to bring comfort to any buyer.
For the right buyer, there may also be an opportunity for Ripley to remain at our private facility if you are interested in becoming part of our program or would like him to continue his involvement here.
Ripley has done a little bit of everything, and he has proven himself to be the type of horse who can be a competitive partner, lesson horse, youth horse, trail companion, or simply the horse you do a little bit of everything with.
We are asking $20,000 for this special guy but open to offers!
📍 Located in Woodstock, IL.
Serious inquiries are welcome. The right home is extremely important to us, and we are happy to answer questions, provide additional videos/information, and discuss whether Ripley may be the right fit for you.
He’s a good one—and finding him the right next chapter is what matters most. ❤️

Something we are very thankful for is our partnership with Amazin Blazin Jet. Back in 2016-17 time I met this gangly, sweet, and honest three year old stallion. I also quickly befriended his owner Tenille. We would stay in touch and I would cheer them on through socials- truly enjoying seeing him grow into one cool dude. Years later she would approach me to ask if I would breed my best mare to him all grown up and to be honest it was such an easy yes- he lived up to his name. It was an easy decision that brought the best thing into my world- Ruthlessly Blazin! But what’s even cooler is then a few years after that I would have the honor to have one of his oldest sons join our team with one of my favorite kiddos. They have really grown up and I loved seeing them back in action tonight. What’s better than one ABJ babes? Two ;-)

And last up meet RILEY!
Riley is our traveling barrel coach who coaches the Ruthless Performance Barrel Racers. She teaches these riders Mondays and Thursdays while also being available to all by appointment.

“With over 25 years of a riding career I’ve had the opportunity to get to experience many disciplines. My earliest years started in the jumping arena after my Mom registered me through our local park district- funny enough this is how Shelley and I crossed paths (she was my riding instructor.) Who knew that years later she would be such an incredible part of not only my business but my life! For this reason we will always continue to partner with McHenry Parks because you never know who might be inspired to be our next generation of horseman! After buying my first horse who wasn’t sound for jumping, I switched gears and found myself in a whole new world of pleasure/equitation open showing, miniature driving, and being involved in our local 4H. These opportunities expanded my world and it was the first dip into the water of western riding.

Shortly after this switch I was also introduced to drill team with the Midwest Renegades where I fell in love with the sport of drill team. Riding with this team was a huge part of my youth and gave me tools that I still use today. Confidence in the saddle while learning how to trick ride, improving my horsemanship for the betterment of my horse, and above all else my love of coaching and helping others was curated by my coaches Bev and Jenny Vlahos. My experience with this team aided in creating teams Cadence Equestrian, Cowgirl Hustle, and Stateline Hotshots!

In my college years I moved to Alaska where I was exposed to and fell in love with the sport of rodeo and barrel racing. I was hooked because this remains my main focus in my personal riding career today. Rodeo Alaska expanded my riding to not only barrel racing but pole bending and roping as well. While there I founded the first ever youth trick riding team in the state, help start a youth drill team, and lead the grand entry. Alaska jump started my professional career and truly changed my equine journey in so many positive ways.

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to clinic with many amazing horseman such as Lisa Lockhart, Karen Vold, Linda Schultz, Ryan Lovendahl, Charmayne James, Kelly Kaminski, and Lynn McKenzie just to name a few. My mantra is there is always more to learn and I will always continue to educate myself and cross train as much as I can.

Besides my riding background I am also an educator here locally in D15. My education gives me multiple tools in giving instruction, the ability to differentiate supports/approaches while teaching, support kids of all learning levels, and having the summers off to hit all the shows! 😉

As an instructor, my goal is to help riders find their calling in whatever discipline they are drawn to, and above all else be their biggest cheerleader. I want my students to feel supported and loved inside and outside the pen while also helping them crush their goals! I want my students to understand how to best communicate with their horse and be problem solvers in times where our horses need more support- to always put their horse first. While my main focus is our traveling barrel/rodeo group I love helping and supporting all horse journeys that walk into our barn.

My current equine family includes my running horses Martini, soon to be running futurity horse Ruth (Ruthless herself), her late Mother Jolie, and my miniature horse Ozzy! My retired horses are loving their best life also include Lady and Caden ❤️. All of these animals not only have supported and guided me through my years of learning but have helped hundreds of other riders learn along the way. They are the foundation of Ruthless Performance.”

Meet KAYA!
Kaya is our beginner lesson instructor, camp coordinator, and drill team coach!

“Hello! My name is Kaya Jarosinski, and I have been a part of the equine world for 13 years. I have experience in western pleasure, trail, barrel racing, and drill team. I have ridden a large variety of horses throughout this time and have a well-rounded approach to how different style horses may operate. I have trained my own horse and together we have performed at Midwest Horse Fair three times.

For the past three years I’ve had the privilege to teach and coach riders of various ages (4-50+) the fundamentals of western riding. Along with teaching small group lessons and privates, I am the head coach of the Stateline Spitfires Drill Team. This team is dear to me and I love having the honor of being their head coach! Together we practice the art of teamwork, precision, speed, collaboration, hard work, and most importantly we have the best time doing it!

My goal as a trainer is to meet each of my riders where they are at and get them to where they want to be! Whether that’s jumping or advanced classes with Shelley, barrel racing with Riley, or joining me in drill.

I am an aspiring teacher and am currently attending Aurora University’s school of education to obtain my bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in special education. I’ve always enjoyed helping others and supporting those I care for.

I love each and every one of my students, and I love being able to give them what my wonderful trainers have given me, a passion for this sport, these riders, and the amazing horses that surround us!”

With so many new faces on here we thought it would be a great idea to introduce our trainers and instructors!

Meet SHELLEY! She is available for our group classes on Wednesdays along with private lessons by appointment.

“With over 35 years in the saddle, I bring a lifelong passion and a broad range of equestrian experience to our training programs. My riding foundation is rooted in classic 3-Day Eventing and Dressage, which instilled in me a deep appreciation for strong fundamentals, precise horsemanship, and balanced riding. Over the years, my love for the sport has expanded into the fast-paced world of Barrel Racing and the precision of Drill Team, giving me a well-rounded perspective across both English and Western disciplines.

Alongside my riding background, I also work as an equine veterinary assistant. This hands-on medical experience gives me a unique, deeper understanding of equine health, biomechanics, and sound physical care, allowing me to approach both coaching and riding with a holistic focus on the horse's well-being.

As an instructor, my goal is to help riders build confidence, refine their communication, and develop solid techniques in a supportive, encouraging environment. My own equine family includes my active performance horse, who keeps my skills sharp in the arena, and my beloved retired event horse, who reminds me daily of the lifelong bonds we build with these animals. Whether you are aiming for precision in dressage or speed around the barrels, I focus on creating strong, safe, and happy horse-and-rider partnerships.
When I’m not at the barn, working, or coaching, I love spending time with my family and can almost always be found on the sidelines of the soccer field cheering on my daughter.”
