I can’t believe this handsome young man (my nephew) is 16 years old today!!! .l you have had my ❤️ from day one! I’m so proud of the young man you are becoming! I love you more than you’ll ever know and hope you have the best day!!

A friend of mine and I were talking and he brought up such a good point….

Him: we as humans OFTEN update our clothes, our cosmetics, our hairstyles, our cars, our technologies, etc; however, very few of us update our mindset! 🤯😱

I had never thought of it like that!

So this had me thinking….If you work with humans (doesn’t matter what field: education, health/medicine, etc.) and you’re not growing your mindset daily, you WILL eventually struggle!
We often want to update everything about ourselves except how we think! Since I’m an educator, I’m going to relate this to education. We cannot have the same mindset we did 10, 15, 20 years ago!! As we advance in technologies and as a human race we obviously discover more about human functioning! If we are not educating ourselves and elevating our craft, then inevitably we will find ourselves stuck and frustrated with everyone and everything around us but ourselves! We want everyone or everything to change to meet our wants and needs, but we are not willing to change and grow ourselves. 🤷🏻‍♀️
In today’s world mindset IS vital, especially if you’re a teacher because you can easily become sucked in to all the negativity and drama! Don’t buy into it….rather rise above it!
