Way to go, Arnold Mill!
Our school principals and district leaders participate in a monthly leadership and professional development meeting to succeed in our mission to be the highest performing school district in Georgia! This month's meeting kicked off with a celebration of the amazing work by our schools to achieve our highest College and Career Ready Performance Index scores ever -- representing impressive academic gains by our students as measured by the state's accountability system. Our School Board has defined accountability for our district as having clear goals for student learning … when we meet those goals, we celebrate, and when we fall short of meeting those goals, we adjust our practices to improve outcomes for students. Our principals now will take this celebration back to their school community to recognize their school’s impressive successes. Last Thursday evening, the AMES PTA board (and Nurse Betty and Principal Fuller) attended the Georgia PTA District 13 Spring Conference and Awards Ceremony (it's essentially the Academy Awards of PTA). We won lots of awards and celebrated a successful year! Here is a list of awards we won:
