A large auditorium accommodates groups of 175 or more with advanced audio/visual capabilities. Excellent catering is provided on-site by the award winning Looking Glass Restaurant. POLYTECH Adult Education has been a provider of training and educational services in Kent County since 1964. Over the last 40 years, we have gained a reputation as an experienced provider of multiple types of training s

uch as Apprenticeship training (in industrial and trade areas), computer technology, clerical and customer service, culinary arts, medical skills and other vocational and personal enrichment courses and programs. In addition to career skills training, we develop customized training programs with area companies and businesses in a variety of occupational and professional areas. Customized training programs are developed in partnership with the employer in response to identified needs. Our instructors are subject matter experts and assist in the development phase to maximize the quality of the training curriculum as well as the delivery of instruction. POLYTECH Adult Education maintains a solid reputation for providing quality training programs at an affordable cost. Staffing is accomplished through a combination of full-time and part-time training specialists. All trainers are required to demonstrate proficiency in their area of instruction, and present evidence of a minimum of six years professional experience. Institution-wide course objectives are established to insure consistency in instruction. Centrally located in Kent County, POLYTECH Adult Education serves over 5,000 students each year in various career training and literacy programs.

🏕️ CAMP POLYTECH: WHAT AN ADVENTURE! 🌲🔥📚

What an incredible summer it has been! As our Family Literacy Program comes to an end, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the wonderful experiences our children had during Camp Polytech! 🏕️❤️

This summer, our preschool and school-age classrooms went on a camping journey filled with hands-on learning, exploration, creativity, and LOTS of fun! 🌿

Our classrooms were transformed into camping adventures, complete with real tents where the children could experience what it might be like to sleep under the stars. They also had the opportunity to explore real camping materials and learn about the items families use when they head out on a camping trip.

📚 The children read books about camping, talked about what it means to explore the outdoors, and even got the exciting opportunity to step inside a real camper—the kind that can travel from campsite to campsite! 🚐🏕️ What an amazing way to bring their learning to life!

We also loved seeing the creativity that came from our Family Pack Time! Our preschoolers worked alongside their parents to create some wonderful camping-themed projects. ❤️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

And, of course, no camping adventure would be complete without S’MORES! 🔥🍫🤎 The children enjoyed indulging in this delicious camping tradition during our final week of the program.

A special thank you to Ms. Tiki and Ms. Abby for creating such a fun and memorable experience for their children and families! We loved seeing the excitement, curiosity, and joy throughout this camping journey. 🏕️✨

What a GREAT summer it has been! From books to tents, campers to crafts, family time to s’mores—Camp Polytech gave our children real-life experiences they will remember! ❤️

We’re so proud of everything our children explored, learned, and experienced this summer, and we can’t wait to see what next year’s adventure brings! 🌲🏕️✨

FREE English Classes for Adults & Families!

Are you or someone you know interested in learning English in a welcoming and supportive environment? Polytech Adult Education offers FREE day and evening ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes for adults at sites throughout Kent County. We have something special for the children, too!

Family Literacy Program (offered in the evening at Milford and Dover locations)
While parents attend English classes, children ages 3-12 will participate in fun and exciting educational activities and receive homework help!

Celebrating our very own Ron Girton on his recent retirement from the state of Delaware😊 Mr. Girton has worked as a part-time school counselor for Polytech Adult Education for over 25 years.

His compassion, guidance, encouragement and belief in every student has made a lasting difference in the many lives he has touched.

🌲📚 Summer learning is in full swing in our Family Literacy Summer Program at Polytech! ☀️

Our school-age students (ages 5–12) had an exciting day exploring literacy, technology, and creativity!

Students learned how to properly use Chromebooks and headphones while listening to Arthur Goes to Camp—a special thank you to Dr. Betsy for generously providing the headphones! 🎧

Afterward, our young researchers put their skills to work by finding and sharing three interesting facts about animals they might encounter on a camping adventure. Families enjoyed hearing all about bears, owls, foxes, and other woodland creatures! 🦉🐻🦊

The fun didn’t stop there! Students also read Flat Stanley Goes Camping and created their very own Flat Stanley and adventure journals. As part of our Family Literacy Program, families will continue the learning at home by taking Flat Stanley on adventures and documenting their experiences together.

We love seeing our students build literacy skills, strengthen their technology knowledge, and create lasting family memories—all while having fun! ❤️
