The EMT students are working on a project involving measuring, cutting, cleaning, and soldering copper tubing. Once their projects are completed, they will do a leak check by connecting a water hose and checking for leaks.

🚨 EMT Students in Action! 🚨

Our Polytech Adult Education EMT students recently had the opportunity to get an inside look at industrial maintenance careers through visits with two of our valued employer partners! 👏

📍 Hirsh Industries
Students toured the facility and learned about industrial maintenance operations. They also watched filing cabinets enter the paint booth for the powder-coating process, gaining a firsthand look at the equipment and maintenance behind the operation.

📍 Southern Glazer’s W**e & Spirits
Students visited the facility and learned about the maintenance operations provided by the SJI Maintenance team. Southern Glazer’s W**e & Spirits is one of the largest beverage alcohol distributors in the world, operating in 47 U.S. markets plus Canada.

🤝 Building Careers Through Partnerships

Both Hirsh Industries and SJI Maintenance generously host tours for our Polytech Adult Education EMT students and provide valuable internship opportunities.

And the results speak for themselves! 🎉

➡️ 7 EMT students have been hired by these two employer partners after successfully completing their internships!

This is what workforce education is all about—connecting classroom learning with real-world experience and creating pathways to meaningful careers. 💪🔧

✈️ Congratulations to Our Aircraft Maintenance Students! 🎉

On July 6, 2026, 11 students began their journey in the Aircraft Maintenance – Pre-Apprentice/Bridge Program.

Throughout the program, students explored the Maintenance Mechanic/Technician career field, learned about various industry sectors, developed foundational knowledge and skills, and began diving deeper into what it takes to become an Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic.

September 25, 2026, we celebrate as these 11 students successfully complete the Aircraft Maintenance – Pre-Apprentice/Bridge Program! 👏

But this is not the end of their journey — it’s the beginning of their next chapter. ✈️

For some of our students, that next step begins Monday, September 28, as they transition into the Aircraft Maintenance – Apprentice Program, continuing to build their skills and prepare for careers in the aviation industry.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, hard work, and accomplishments of these students. Their journey is just taking flight! 🚀✈️

What an incredible day at the Festival Hispano in Georgetown! ❤️

We had the opportunity to connect with hundreds of people who stopped by our table looking for information, resources, and opportunities available through Polytech Adult Education.

We were able to share information about our FREE English language classes and GED programs for adults who are looking to strengthen their skills, reach their educational goals, and create new opportunities for themselves and their families. 📚✨

We also had the opportunity to share information about Parents as Teachers, a wonderful resource that connects parents with support, resources, and home visits to help them feel confident as they learn all the things that go into supporting their child’s growth and development. ❤️

It was a full day, but such a rewarding one. Getting to meet so many people, hear their stories, answer questions, and simply be a resource for someone who may not have known where to turn was incredibly inspiring.

Sometimes, lending a hand and connecting someone with the right resource can make a bigger difference than we realize. 💙

So grateful for days like today and for the opportunity to serve our community through the work we do at Polytech Adult Education. What a beautiful reminder of why this work matters! 🙌🏽✨
