20 Minutes a Day = A World of Possibilities!
Our 3rd graders are pushing hard this year to expand their horizons one book, one page, and one adventure at a time! Their goal? Read for at least 20 minutes every day and make it to the end of Candy land before break!
Reading just 20 minutes each day helps students build vocabulary, strengthen comprehension, improve fluency, grow background knowledge, and develop the confidence they need to be successful across every subject.
And families—you are an important part of the adventure! You can help fuel those growing minds at home by:
📖 Setting aside 20 minutes of distraction-free reading time
👨👩👧 Reading together or taking turns reading aloud
💬 Asking your child about the characters, problems, and their favorite parts of the story
📚 Visiting the library and letting them choose books that excite them
🌟 Celebrating consistency and effort, not just how many books they finish!
Those 20 minutes may feel small, but day after day, they add up to stronger readers, bigger imaginations, and young minds ready to explore the world.
Keep pushing, 3rd grade! There are no limits to where reading can take you!
