WOODRUFF- Brandon Wade Stites, 17, of 306 Hughes Street died Sunday, April 12, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of Mary Miller Parks (Melvin) of Woodruff and Chad Stites of Woodruff. Brandon was a member of the senior class at Woodruff High School where he represented the Woodruff Wolverines having excelled in football and track. He attended Bellview Baptist Church and was an employee of Food Lion in Woodruff.
Surviving are three brothers, C.J. Stites, Austin Parks and Andrew Parks all of Woodruff; two sisters, Katie Stites and Kierston Stites; maternal grandmother, Dianne Simmons (Walter) of Mauk, Georgia; maternal grandfather, Gerald Miller of Woodruff; paternal grandmother, Barbara Easler Young of Woodruff; paternal grandmother, Ann Parks of Woodruff; He was predeceased by his paternal grandfathers, Phil Easler and Marvin Parks.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 4:30 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Woodruff. Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Woodruff, 801 Cross Anchor Road.
The family is at the home of Ricky and Vesta Simmons, 228 Varner Road, Woodruff.

The Wolverine's 2014 football team will begin practice Sunday August 3 from 7 - 9 p.m. under the lights. Now back in AA, Do you believe this is the year the state championship comes back to Woodruff?

Only a few more weeks left in the 2013-2014 school year. Remember to own your future!

This Friday, August 30, will be the start of the Wolverines 2013 Football Season. They will be playing Abbeville at W.L. Varner Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Come out and support your Wolverines as they start the quest for that 11th State Championship.

Woodruff will be hosting another football jamboree tomorrow evening!! The jamboree starts at 5:30 with the Wolverines scheduled to play at 8:30 against Greer. Come out and support the Wolverines in their last preseason match-up before they start the regular season on Aug. 30 against Abbeville.

The Wolverines will be playing tonight in the Gaffney jamboree. They will be playing Gaffney at 9 p.m. in the main event. Jamboree starts at 7:00, come support your Woodruff Wolverines!

Woodruff Jamboree is tomorrow evening. First game is between Chesnee and Clinton at 6:30. Second game is between Chapman and Laurens. Finally, at 8:30, the Wolverines take on Blue Ridge. Come out and support

Come out and support the Football team this week!!! The Woodruff Jamboree (Wolverine Showcase) will be held on Thursday at around 6 o'clock. Woodruff will play the last game against Blue Ridge. On Friday the Wolverines will take on Gaffney High School at the Battle of the Border hosted by Gaffney. Hope to see you all at both scrimmages!!

On Saturday the Wolverines went to Seneca and played Daniel High School. Daniel is the #1 team in the state and they have a RB committed to Clemson University and also have 2 Division 1 Linebackers. It was a windy game and a good showing from both teams. Daniel won 21-7
