🚨🔥 Superintendent Pat Broncato got to sound the alarm at Willow Creek Elementary School today—literally!

During today’s fire drill, Dr. Broncato had the honor of pulling the fire alarm, a role our Buildings & Grounds crew often saves for retiring staff members. With Pat retiring at the end of this school year, it was his turn to officially get the drill underway!

While there was a little fun behind today’s alarm, the purpose is an important one. Schools throughout Woodridge 68 regularly conduct safety drills so students and staff know what to do and are prepared in the event of an emergency. 💙

🌟 Welcome to Woodridge 68! 🌟

Meet Kayla Kumiega, a new third grade teacher at Willow Creek Elementary School!

Kayla attended Saint Xavier University, and social studies was her favorite subject growing up. She’s most looking forward to helping her students and watching them grow throughout the year.

Outside of school, Kayla enjoys walking her dogs, Pilates, going to the pool and traveling. 🌎 Her adventures have taken her to Ireland, Scotland, England and Italy!

Kayla also had a family connection to Woodridge 68 before joining us, with a relative who works in the district.

We’re glad to have you at Woodridge 68, Kayla!

🌟 Welcome to Woodridge 68! 🌟

Meet Taylor Radley, a new art teacher at Willow Creek Elementary School & Meadowview Elementary School!

It probably comes as no surprise that art was Taylor’s favorite subject growing up! She attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is looking forward to new creative experiences and building relationships with her students.

Creativity extends well beyond the school day for Taylor, who enjoys pottery, knitting/crocheting, beading, art journaling, painting and drawing. 🎨

And here’s a fun fact you don’t hear every day: Taylor actually likes going to the dentist! 🦷

Meet Deborah Loza, a Health Aide at Willow Creek Elementary School!
Her favorite subject in school was History, and today she finds joy in helping students stay safe and healthy.

Deborah says the best part of Woodridge 68 is the staff and taking care of the kids.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her grandchild. 🍳👩‍👧
