Who will it be?!

Tomorrow we’ll find out which two 1st graders will represent their class as our 2026 Homecoming Flower Girl & Crown Bearer! All eligible and interested 1st-grade students will be entered into a random name wheel, and the winners will be selected completely at random.

Be on the lookout around 1 pm tomorrow for a post on our district page for the reveal video!

First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall

The Woodlawn High School chapter of the National Honor Society is partnered with the American Red Cross to earn scholarships for our graduating seniors. At the end of the 2025-2026 school year, we awarded scholarships to deserving seniors, and we hope to increase that amount during the 2026-2027 school year. Our scholarships are driven by the number of pints of blood collected at our drives held during the year. Please consider making a blood donation to save a life and fund a scholarship. Thank you!

The WGS Fall Book Fair is coming up September 21-24, 2026. We need volunteers to help work at the book fair each day starting at 8:30 am until the fair closes at 2:45 daily. All time slots are 30 minutes except the last one of the day (it is 45 minutes). You are welcome to fill as many time slots as you can! If you are available more than one day, that is welcome too! Thank you so much for your help!

We’re excited to kick off our Teacher of the Month and Support Staff of the Month recognitions for the 2026–2027 school year! 🎉

Each month, we’ll celebrate FOUR outstanding individuals who make a difference in our Jefferson County schools:

🍎 One PreK–5th Grade Teacher
📚 One 6th–12th Grade Teacher
⭐ Two Support Staff Members

Our Support Staff recognition includes the incredible aides, custodians, office staff, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and so many others who help our schools thrive every day!
