🚑 Training for the moments that matter most 🚑

Students from the Woodland Community College EMT Program recently took part in a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) training at Yolo Fire Station 8. This hands-on experience challenged students to apply triage, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

From rapid patient assessments to coordinating care on scene, these future EMTs stepped up and demonstrated what it means to be prepared when it counts.

A big thank you to Yolo Fire for their continued support and partnership in helping shape the next generation of emergency medical providers!

🚑🔥 Extrication Day in Action! 🔥🚁

Our Woodland Community College EMT students got hands-on experience during Extrication Day at Woodland Fire Station 3, taking their skills to the next level! From patient access to safe removal techniques, students worked alongside fire personnel to simulate real-world rescue scenarios.

To top it off, students were able to witness an incredible REACH helicopter demo, getting an up-close look at air medical operations and the critical role it plays in patient care and transport.

A huge thank you to our partners at Woodland Fire and REACH for providing such an unforgettable learning experience!

We were excited to welcome American Medical Response (AMR) of Yolo County to the Woodland Community College EMT Program!

Our students had a great opportunity to connect with local EMS professionals, learn about real-world operations, and get an inside look at what it’s like to serve our community on the front lines. From career insights to hands-on discussions, visits like this help bridge the gap between the classroom and the field.
