We had a GREAT first day back at North Fork Elementary! 🦅💙

Our Eagles kicked off the school year with smiles, excitement, and so much positive energy! A special shoutout to our Woodland High School Athletics Football Team for being there this morning to greet our students and help start their day with an extra boost of excitement! 🏈

We are beyond excited to welcome our students back and can’t wait to see all the learning, growing, and amazing moments that this year will bring. Our students are the heart of our school, and there is nothing better than seeing their smiling faces back in the halls and classrooms!✨

🌟 That's a wrap on another amazing school year! 🌟

What a year it has been! Our students have grown in so many ways, academically, socially, and emotionally. From strengthening their reading and math skills to developing confidence, creativity, and critical thinking, we have watched our students rise to challenges and make tremendous progress throughout the year.

Along the way, they built friendships, explored new ideas, celebrated achievements, and created memories that will last a lifetime. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, perseverance, and dedication to learning.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers, staff, and supportive families for helping make this year such a success. Your partnership, encouragement, and commitment to our students make all the difference.

As we head into summer, we wish everyone a season filled with fun, adventure, relaxation, and plenty of sunshine! ☀️

Soaring in the Classroom: Mrs. Huddleston, Literacy Learning Coach

At North Fork Elementary, literacy is more than just reading and writing. It is the foundation for lifelong learning. Supporting both students and teachers in this important work is our dedicated Literacy Learning Coach, Mrs. Huddleston.

Mrs. Huddleston partners with teachers across grade levels to strengthen reading instruction and ensure every student has access to high quality literacy experiences. Whether she is modeling a lesson, co teaching in the classroom, analyzing student data, or planning with teachers, her focus is always on helping students grow as confident and capable readers.

Students enjoy seeing Mrs. Huddleston in their classrooms. She brings engaging strategies, meaningful discussions, and research based practices that make learning come alive. From phonics instruction in the early grades to deeper comprehension work with older students, she helps build the skills students need to succeed.

Beyond working directly with students, Mrs. Huddleston plays an important role in professional learning. She supports staff with curriculum implementation, shares instructional resources, and helps teachers reflect on and refine their practices. Her collaborative spirit strengthens our entire school community.

Because of Mrs. Huddleston’s leadership and commitment, literacy instruction at North Fork continues to soar. We are grateful for the passion and expertise she brings to our school each day.
