Student Success Center - RAWC, Tutoring Center, and MESA

Student Success Center - RAWC, Tutoring Center, and MESA The Student Success Center includes the Reading & Writing Center (RAWC), Tutoring Center, MESA, and SI. Online tutoring also available for writing.

The Student Success Center (SSC) is located in rooms 814-817, and are made up of the Reading and Writing Center (RAWC), the Tutoring Center, and MESA. The SSC also offers Supplemental Instruction to cross-disciplinary classes all across campus. Appointments and drop-in help is available as well as online tutoring for math and writing. The services include:

RAWC - Reading and writing assistance fo

r students for any class at any level from experienced and well-trained peer tutors. One hour appointments or 30 minute drop-in sessions available. For more information about the RAWC, call 530-661-5750. Tutoring Center - Content-area tutoring for math, sciences, statistics and more! All peer tutors have taken the class previously and passed with a B grade or better. One hour appointments for 30 minute drop-in sessions available. Online tutoring available for math. For more information about the Tutoring Center, call 530-661-5733. Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) - MESA is a free program that any STEM major can join! MESA students are more likely to graduate successfully and transfer, and the perks of MESA include study jams, mentoring, specialized library, computer lab, and more! For more information about joining MESA, contact 530-668-2528. Supplemental Instruction (SI) - SI integrates a peer tutor who has taken a class successfully directly into the class, offering specific, hands on, and teacher-guided tutoring tailored directly to your class!
