With finals right around the corner it can be hard to remember everything you need to know on the big test. Here are some memory tips to help you out; 1)Be interested. 2)Visualize. 3)Relate. 4)Repeat. If you know you have a fill in the blank test, try making your own flash cards by writing fill in the blank statements. Good luck students!

Finals are almost here! We want to do our best to help you prepare so here's some helpful tips on taking test: 1) Be prepared and study. 2) Always read directions carefully. 3) When taking True/False test look out for words like usually, always and never they tend they are the most common to throw people off. 4) When doing multiple choice tests check off the ones you know aren't right first. Be sure to read the questions carefully with these as well! Good luck students!

With finals coming up, something to think about is getting together a study group. Study groups are very helpful to have throughout the semester as well. When forming a study group you should choose a small group and select one person as the leader who is responsible for convening the group. Establish a meeting place and meeting time, one that doesn't interfere with class time. Good luck students!

Do you have problems procrastinating? Here's some tips on how to overcome procrastination: 1. Clarify your goals. 2.Manage your time effectively by prioritizing and organizing. 3. Change your attitude about the task. 4. Change your behaviour. 5. Accept yourself by giving yourself time to change.

For those who might not know the SQ4R method, this might help you read when it comes to reading your textbook; S=Survey by skimming through the book, reading headers and looking at visual aids. Q= Question by asking yourself "what is the purpose of the title?" or "What do I want to get out of this?". 4R= The 4 R's stand for 1. Read. 2. Recite. 3. (W)Rite by summarizing what you read. 4. Review.

If you have problems review here's a few tips that might help out; 1. Do an early review by skimming the chapter and looking at the bold words/titles. Write down what you remember from the previous chapters as well so you have it fresh in your mind. 2. Do an intermediate review to prepare for your finals (studying this way will also help with midterms). 3. The final review should help you be able to pull together the main things. This is so you know you understand the concepts.

Having problems with your note taking? Try some of these tips: Paraphrase, get the main ideas, be accurate and be an aggressive listener by asking questions or relating the material to life outside of school. Developing a system will be very beneficial for your note taking. Remember they are YOUR notes, you can use shorthand as long as you understand it.
