Help us get TADA ready for a new season!

Before classes begin on September 8th, we’re giving the Theatre and Dance Annex a little end-of-summer refresh, and we’d love some extra hands!

Join us for our TADA Community Clean Up Day on Saturday, September 5th from 10:00 am–1:00 pm.

We’ll be tackling projects throughout the building and grounds, including general cleaning, replacing Marley tape, small handiwork projects, and outdoor maintenance. Whether you’re handy with tools, great at organizing and cleaning, or simply willing to pitch in, there’s a job for you!

Our families and community help make TADA a special place for our students, and this is a wonderful way to help us start the 2026–2027 season fresh and ready to go.

NEW CLASS: Musical Theatre Musicianship & Sight-Singing

Love musical theatre? Already performing, or interested in getting started? Build the musical foundation that can help you feel more confident in the audition room, rehearsal room, and beyond.

Designed for students with little to no music-reading experience, this new full-year class introduces practical musicianship skills through the lens of musical theatre. Students will explore music reading, rhythm, pitch, intervals, scales, score markings, pitch matching, sight-singing, and more using the instructor's Light Method curriculum.

Whether you're already comfortable onstage or hoping to audition for your first show, this class will help you better understand the music in front of you and develop the skills to become a more confident, independent musician.

No prior music-reading experience is required, and previous musical theatre experience is helpful, but not necessary. Led by Teaching Artist Melissa Baikie-Rick.

Two Class Options:
Ages 8–12 - 4:00 PM
Ages 13–17 - 5:00 PM

Runs: October 1–May 13
Tuition: $80/month

Maximum 8 students per class. Register NOW to secure your child's spot! (Yes, we accept Homeschool Vouchers!)

Winter was a truly wonderful time at the Woodland Opera House last season!

In November, we gathered around the hearth for A Christmas Carol the Musical, Dicken's timeless tale about the transformative power of generosity. This amazing cast and crew filled the theatre with soaring carols, so many touching moments, and a hearty helping of holiday magic.

In December, the joy of the holiday season continued with the Nutcracker “Sweet” and Peter and the Wolf. Our dance students got the chance to shine and show off their hard work and undeniable ballet skills, supported from the wings by a team of incredible teachers, parents, and volunteers.

In January, the headlines came to life with Newsies JR.! Our award-winning Junior Theatre Festival troupe brought energy, determination, and plenty of spirit to the stage as the newsies fought for what was right. With dynamic choreography, powerful performances, and a dedicated creative team behind them, these kids made sure their story was heard!

And then we rounded out the winter months with a journey under the sea with The Little Mermaid. From Ariel’s curiosity and Prince Eric’s charm to Sebastian’s wit, Flounder’s heart, and Ursula’s unforgettable presence, our brilliant cast brought each beloved character to vibrant life. This production was absolutely packed with color, creativity, and theatrical magic thanks to a talented team of techs!

Four productions. Countless wonder-filled moments. And so many incredible artists who made them possible. See you at the Chesleys this Sunday to celebrate them all!

The Chesleys are almost here and so we wanted to take a look back at the shows that made the start of our season so magical....

In August, Hadestown: Teen Edition took us beneath the surface and into a hauntingly beautiful land of myth, music, love, and sacrifice. The incredible teen cast brought so much emotional depth and raw energy to this legendary story, while the talented tech team created a world that felt truly otherworldly.

In September, we stepped into the tangled forest of Into the Woods, where familiar fairy tales took unexpected twists and timeless lessons emerged from the shadows. Our stage was transformed into a storybook dreamland by a crew of remarkable theatre artists, and the powerhouse cast that filled that forest fully embraced Sondheim’s wit, complexity, and heart.

In October, we celebrated spooky season with the perfectly peculiar Beetlejuice JR.! This wildly talented youth cast brought humor and supernatural mayhem to a stage where the strange and unexpected felt right at home thanks to a spectacular creative team and crew. Together, they made our stage anything but dead!

Join us this Sunday, August 30, at 7:00 PM to celebrate their hard work!
