If you are in middle school and have any interest at all in robots, programming, or the brain, this camp is for you! We welcome all beginner students to try out something new this summer!
Day 1: Learning to code and learning about the brain
Day 2: Touring UC Davis research laboratories
Days 3: Finish up robot code and race friends on mini obstacle course

Hello all!!! The UCD Mind and Machine Summer Camp is offering camp for Summer 2023 on June 27-29th. This FREE three day program offers middle-school students a chance to learn about robotics, neuroscience, and programming from real UC Davis students, graduates, and professors! Snacks and lunch will be provided each day. Camp will take place at the Woodland SquareOne Maker Space and on Wednesday, June 28th, we will travel for part of the day to the UC Davis campus to tour engineering labs working on prosthetics, robotics, motor learning, and aerospace engineering!
No prior robotics or programming experience of any kind is required! We're excited for you all to join us for camp 2023!

We've got spots in our camp session running August 8th- August 10th, 2022! This week we're building our robots and we can't wait to share them with our campers!

At the UC Davis Mind and Machine Summer Camp, we will dive into the world of computer science, neuroscience, and the ways in which they connect to form the future of technology! Calling rising 7th and 8th graders interested in robotics, neuroscience, and programming! At the UC Davis Mind and Machine Summer Camp, we will dive into the world of robotics, computer science, neuroscience, and the ways in which they connect to form the future of technology! NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH PROGRAMMING OR ROBOTICS IS REQUIRED. At our FREE 3-day camp, you can expect to play with robots, learn some programming, see how the brain controls the body with electricity, meet real UC Davis researchers, and make friends! This camp is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of a grant awarded to several UC Davis Engineering labs working on the M3X (Mind, Machine, and Motor Nexus) project. At the end of the camp, everyone will receive a certificate of completion and be named an NSF Mind and Machine Robotics Ambassador!
