We've been accepted! This year, Merit Academy made the intentional decision not to increase athletic fees for our families and student athletes. On September 1st from 6:00–6:05 PM, we have an incredible opportunity to make those dollars go even further!

Funds raised will directly support Merit Academy Athletics, helping offset program costs and potentially reduce, or even eliminate athletic participation fees for our student-athletes. Are you a parent or guardian of a student athlete? Save your participation fee and donate it through this program.

Merit Academy Community,

We have received confirmation from the appropriate agencies that the situation that prompted today’s precautionary measures has been resolved and there is no longer a threat to our campus. Merit Academy’s secure perimeter has been lifted, and we are returning to our normal school schedule and operations while our security team will be maintaining a heighten alert for the duration of the day.

We appreciate the quick response and communication from our local agencies, as well as the patience and cooperation of our students, staff, and families throughout the morning. Thank you for trusting us to take appropriate precautions while keeping the safety of our school community our highest priority.

All clear. Normal operations have resumed.

The Tone Has Been Set.

Two days in, and one thing is already clear: we are ready!

Thank you to our teachers who prepare, plan, and show up ready to give students and families their very best.

Thank you to our families who trust us, partner with us, and send their children through our doors ready for what comes next.

Thank you to our community partners, businesses, organizations, and volunteers who give their time, resources, expertise, and encouragement because they believe strong schools strengthen an entire small mountain-town community.

Thank you to our students who came to campus this week with energy, purpose, and a willingness to rise to the expectations placed before them.

To everyone who helped us get here: THANK YOU.

You helped prepare classrooms. You solved problems. You opened doors. You encouraged teachers. You supported families. You welcomed new faces. You invested in students.

You helped make these first two days possible.

Classrooms are full. Hallways are alive. Expectations are higher. The work has begun.
