Join the 2026 St. Mel Swim Team!
The St. Mel Swim Team is open to registered St. Mel parishioners, ages 5-14. The Spartans compete against other parishes, as part of the San Fernando Valley Catholic Swim League, at swim meets from September - October.
Swim Meets are held at Crespi Carmelite High School on the following dates: September 13th, September 27th, October 11th and October 25th.
Tryouts are required for new swimmers, to be held in August, at Crespi.

On Friday, we celebrated a lovely school Mass led by our 4th graders.
And, with that, the The 2025-2026 academic year has come to a close for the St. Mel Elementary School and Preschool. We wish all our students and their families a relaxing, fun and safe summer vacation.
We wish the same for all the school-age kids in our parish.
And to our vibrant faculty and dedicated staff, we say: “Thank you for another terrific year!” We look forward to seeing you back on campus when classes resume on Monday, August 24th.
(Parents, if you’re counting, that’s only 72 days.)

Our program is designed for St. Mel students entering 1st-8th grade in the fall of 2026. Students entering kindergarten can join us for the morning program. There are no classes on July 3. 8:00-12:00 p.m. Morning Program (includes reading, math, PE, art, and more!) $230/week (Special: $800 for 4 weeks) 12:30-3:00 p.m. Afternoon Program (students can select “Cooking,” “Sports and Crafts,” or “Sports and Stories” - see descriptions below) $150/week (Special: $550 for 4 weeks) Students that attend both the morning program and the afternoon program can stay for lunch from 12:00-12:30 p.m.
