Fun at Keshet: Exploring the Shuk, Israeli Market! 🥕🍓💰
Last week, our children enjoyed a fantastic session at Keshet, where they experienced the hustle and bustle of an Israeli Market. They got creative with spice drawings, became little entrepreneurs producing items like carrots, strawberries, and key chains, and had a blast shopping with pretend money. It was a day filled with learning and laughter!

במחקרים שנעשו ביערות עצומים
הגיעו לממצאים די מדהימים
ולמסקנה אחת חד-משמעית:
העצים מתקיימים בערבות הדדית

מתחת לשטח, עמוק באדמה
מסתעפת רשת שורשים מרשימה
מעין צנרת מפותלת, מלאה בנשמה
שמחברת את היער לרקמה אחת שלמה

המחקר העלה, שכמו בקהילה –
העצים מגלים זה לזה חמלה
מניידים ביניהם משאבים יקרים
מים, מזון ואינספור חומרים

בעיתות מצוקה, בשרב, ברוחות
הם חולקים זה עם זה נחמה וכוחות
יוצאים מגזעם כדי לעזור
וחולקים מהשפע כשבא המחסור

והרי זה מובן
והרי זה לא סוד -
יש לאדם עוד הרבה מה ללמוד
בימים של ייאוש
של כאב
ושל צער
מהעץ הפשוט השוכן לו ביער.

מזל טוב! ה' באייר הוא יום העצמאות, יום הולדתה של מדינת ישראל.
נאחל למדינה שלנו שנים של שקט ושלום, של פריחה ושגשוג ושל אהבה הדדית.

רעיונות לפעילות עם הילדים:
בת כמה ישראל? תספרו יחד עם הילדים את שנותיה של המדינה. אפשר להכין למדינה עוגת יום הולדת ולכתוב את גילה בעזרת סוכריות.
מתנה למדינה: נחליט יחד על מעשה טוב שאנו עושים עבור המדינה שלנו. כיצד נוכל לשפר את המקום בו אנו חיים? אפשר למשל לשתול פרח בגינה, לנקות את החצר, להתנדב וכדומה.

We wish our country years of peace and prosperity, of growth and mutual love.

Here are some ideas for activities with the children:
How old is Israel? Count together the years of the state. You can make a birthday cake and write Israel's age with candies.
A gift: you can decide together on a good deed that we do for our country. How can we improve the place we live in? For example, you can plant a flower in the garden, clean the yard, volunteer, etc.
