Building a Maker Mindset! 🛠️✨

Our elementary teachers spent part of Orientation Week learning in our brand-new Maker Space with our Maker teachers, Agustin and Brie.

They explored the core elements of a Maker program, discussed ways to bring hands-on, creative problem-solving into every classroom, and even became makers themselves by designing and creating their own projects.

We can't wait to see the creativity, innovation, and confidence this inspires in our students throughout the year!

Today, our Collins Campus proudly showcased the amazing 3-D bugs they've been hard at work creating! Through creativity, collaboration, and lots of imagination, our students transformed everyday materials into amazing insects, each one as unique as the children who made them. 🐞🐛🪲

This project gave our campers the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of bugs while strengthening problem-solving skills, fine motor development, and teamwork. We couldn't be more proud of their hard work and confidence they showed while sharing their creations with our school community.

🎓✨ Congratulations to the Woodland Hills Private School Class of 2026! ✨🎓

What an incredible day celebrating this amazing group of graduates as they officially stepped into their next chapter!

Each student proudly and boldly took the podium to share favorite memories from their time at WHPS, reflecting on the friendships, experiences, lessons, and moments that helped shape their elementary school journey. One by one, they were then honored with heartfelt words from a special speaker of their choosing, creating unforgettable moments filled with pride, laughter, encouragement, and love.

After receiving their diplomas and moving their tassels to the other side, our graduates celebrated in style with a fantastic dance performance for their friends and families who came out to support them on this special day!

To the Class of 2026: be proud of everything you have accomplished. Your hard work, growth, character, and determination have brought you to this milestone, and we cannot wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish in middle school and beyond.

What a beautiful day celebrating our Kindergarten Stepping Up Ceremony! 🦋

Throughout the year, our students embraced the theme of caterpillars growing into monarch butterflies, and today they showed just how much they’ve grown. Each student took the stage to share their favorite part of kindergarten, from math and crafts to PE, friendships, and time spent with their wonderful teachers.

With proud smiles and excited hearts, they crossed the Stepping Up Bridge and officially moved on to the next chapter of their educational journey. It was a joyful celebration filled with confidence, growth, and so many special memories.

A very special and heartfelt thank you goes out to Miss Morgan, Miss Mendez, and Miss G for the incredible love, dedication, patience, and care they poured into their students throughout the year. They created a classroom environment where children could learn, grow, build confidence, and truly flourish. The growth we celebrated today is a reflection of the tremendous impact these amazing educators have had on their students’ lives.

We also want to thank all of the families who came out to support and celebrate these wonderful students. The love, encouragement, and applause helped make this milestone even more meaningful and ensured that every child felt special on their big day.

We celebrated an incredible group of young learners as they officially graduated and prepared to take their next big step into the next grade level.

A huge thank you to the wonderful Miss Tanya and Miss Cheyanne, whose dedication, patience, creativity, and care helped cultivate such a warm and beautiful learning environment for these students to grow, learn, and thrive throughout the year. ❤️

Families gathered to celebrate as students proudly received their diplomas, showed off their excitement with celebration dances, and bravely stepped up to the microphone to introduce themselves and share what they hope to be when they grow up. From future veterinarians and doctors to teachers, artists, and more, their dreams were as inspiring as their smiles.

What an AMAZING day at our TK Non-Fiction Publishing Party! 🥳📚🪲🌿

Our TK students were beyond excited to proudly share their incredible isopod terrarium projects after working so hard throughout their non-fiction unit! From learning fascinating facts about isopods to building their own terrariums and presenting in front of an audience, this project was such a fun and meaningful cross-curricular experience. ✨

Not only did the students strengthen their non-fiction writing skills, but they also practiced public speaking, creativity, confidence, teamwork, and scientific observation all at the same time! 🎤📝🔍🌱

We are SO proud of the enthusiasm, courage, and growth these students showed every step of the way. Their excitement for learning truly shined bright today! 💚👏

90s Day at Woodland Hills Private School was all that and a bag of chips 👾💾📺

From colorful fits and vintage vibes to serious “album cover” poses and huge smiles, our students and staff fully committed to the energy of the era. Some photos brought the playful side, others brought the attitude, because every great 90s album needed both. 😎

Hip-hop swagger, retro fashion, oversized confidence, and nonstop personality made this one unforgettable day on campus. We’re pretty sure a few of these could’ve gone platinum in 1998. 💿🔥

Now we need to know… what was YOUR go-to 90s fit? 👀

Our 4th & 5th grade tech students took on the challenge of building and coding their own VEX IQ robots from the ground up!

They started by brainstorming team names and designing logos, then dove into hands-on building, learning every part of their robotics kits. From there, they brought their creations to life using VEXcode IQ Blocks, programming their robots to complete real tasks.

Students collaborated, problem-solved, debugged (a lot 😄), and kept improving their designs through trial and error. By the end, each team created a fully unique robot experience combining movement, sound, and creativity.

This project was all about thinking like engineers, working like a team, and not giving up when things didn’t work the first time.
