Nature Vision Nature Vision is an environmental education nonprofit organization. Nature Vision gives students the science and tools to take action and be good stewards.

As an environmental education nonprofit (501c3), Nature Vision brings place-based, experiential nature programming to over 70,000 Pre-K through 12th grade students each year in King and Snohomish Counties. By bringing our programs directly to schools and local greenspaces, we work to ensure that all students receive quality nature connections where they need them the most. What makes our programs

so impactful? They are:
•aligned with Washington State K-12 learning standards to support students on their STEM education journeys
•integrate the latest scientific information
•anchored in details about local ecosystem for maximal relevancy
•often include environmental stewardship and community science projects
•help students discover every-day actions they can take in their homes and communities to connect with and preserve nature


The students we serve come from diverse backgrounds: one in three are eligible for free or reduced price meals and one in five are English-language learners. Nature Vision’s programming results in significant student gains in scientific knowledge, including every-day actions students and their communities can take to help our local ecosystems. We are proud to be educating and inspiring a new generation of environmental stewards and community scientists.

Observing nature is the perfect opportunity to find connections and patterns between the plants, water, and animals. Our summer camp is the perfect place for campers to question the forest around them and discover how things are interconnected. During our Great Nature Detectives camp, campers enjoy peaceful moments in nature while jotting down what they saw and what they are curious about. Our summer camp has been filled with many campers exploring the forest! The camper in the picture is playing a classic forest version of hide and seek called Eagle Eye. It has been a great summer! But it isn’t over yet. Nature Vision still has three more weeks of camp at Farrel McWhirter Park in Redmond! Whether your camper is an artist, a survivalist, a scientist, or a combination of all three, our camps have the perfect opportunity for them!

We’re hiring! Are you excited about sustainability and the environment? Nature Vision is looking for multiple environmental educators to fill part-time positions starting in September. If you’re looking for a new opportunity this fall to get hands-on with nature and science education in the classroom and outdoors, then this role could be for you! The first week of Nature Vision’s Summer Camp at Hamlin Park in Shoreline is next week! If you haven’t signed up yet, there are still a few spots available! Each week has a different theme, making it easy to sign up for multiple weeks or choose the one your camper would be most interested in. Are they a budding artist? Then Nature Art is the one for you. Are they interested in learning to survive and thrive outdoors? Then choose Into the Wild and learn everything you need to survive in the woods. Or do they enjoy mysteries, puzzles, and exploring the unknown? Sign them up to become a Great Nature Detective.
