As we celebrate Labor Day, we want to wish all of our WBSD families, staff and community a safe and relaxing holiday weekend. Thank you to everyone who works hard each day to make our schools and community such a wonderful place to live, learn and grow!

🚌📱 KNOW WHERE THE BUS IS. KNOW WHEN IT WILL ARRIVE.

The Woodhaven-Brownstown School District is excited to offer BusRight, a new Parent App that provides families with real-time visibility into their child’s bus ride.

With BusRight, you can check your child’s route, view the bus’s real-time ETA, and receive notifications when the bus starts its trip and arrives at your child’s stop.

It’s one more way we’re working to provide families with safety, reliability and peace of mind throughout the school day.

💡 Getting started is easy:
1️⃣ Download the BusRight Parent App from your app store.
2️⃣ Use the email address associated with your child in the district’s student information system.
3️⃣ Log in and access your child’s transportation information.

WBSD Director of Operations Mike Belcher and Supervisor of Transportation Jess Hosey discuss the new app and technology for bus tracking, BusRight. Offices will be open this weekend from 8 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday if you have questions about transportation. Everyone is ready for the first day of school on Tuesday, September 8!

🎀✂️ Ribbon Cuttings at Bates & Gudith Elementary!

It was a special evening in the Woodhaven-Brownstown School District as we officially celebrated the incredible transformations at Bates Elementary and Gudith Elementary!

Members of our Board of Education, former Superintendent Mark Greathead, staff, families, and community members joined us to celebrate these exciting bond projects and the many new and renovated spaces now ready for our students.

✨ From brand-new SMART Labs and learning spaces to updated classrooms, renovated cafeterias, new art and music rooms, kindergarten classrooms, improved entrances, parking lots, outdoor spaces, and so much more—these projects represent a tremendous investment in our students and their future.

At both schools, nearly every corner tells a story of creating safer, more welcoming, and more engaging spaces where our Warriors can learn, grow, and thrive.

We are so excited to see these spaces filled with our students this school year!
