The annual Elementary Cross Country Championships (Run) is schedule to take place, starting at 4:45 p.m. on Monday, October 19th. Yake always has a good showing at this race with our boys winiing multiple plaques and our girls coming in a close second each year and winning last year. From my understanding, we have some strong runners this year and with enough participation, we may be able to win both plaques this year. With that said, please see the attached flyer and consider signing your Gator(s) up for the run. I will be there cheering our Gators on and I am sure Mrs. Verdun will love to see how hard our Gators work when running.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I can't wait to see our Gators flying on Monday afternoon.

This past week, we had 285 (up from 268 last week) Gators who had perfect attendance! Through our raffle, $10.00 Rev'D Up Fun arcade gift cards were awarded to Lukasz & Daytona! Our next raffle will take place on Monday morning where two more gift cards will be awarded to Gators who had perfect attendance this week. Big "Thank you!" to Rev'D Up Fun for supporting our attendance incentives once again this year. Such a great community partner with Yake Elementary School.

This week we will be wrapping up the sweetest Fundraiser of the year at Yake! 🥧

Achatz pies are sold annually by our Gators and it helps support all the fun we have at Yake like Fall Fest, Monster Mash Bash, Santa Secret Workshop, Winter Carnival, Gator Alley, assemblies, and so much more! 💚🐊

Pie orders are due this Wednesday with delivery on November 11th (in time for Thanksgiving), and our *Pie Day* incentive will be live streamed on November 25th right before Thanksgiving break.

Students who sell 10 pies can select a staff member to pie, and if they sell 15- they can pie a teacher & Mr Podlewski! Our top 2 sellers even get to pie Mr Salah our Superintendent!

Whether it's your 1st year or your last at Yake, this is a HUGE hit with the kids & SO FUN! 🥧🥧🥧🥧

Any questions can be emailed to [email protected] :)

Without valuable fundraisers like this, we couldn't bring our Gators all those fun extras that help make Yake such a special place! 💚🐊

Our Watch D.O.G.S. continued this week with Robert Ray and his daughters, Riley, Aria & Ellie on Wednesday, and Matthew Pautke with his son, Wyatt on Thursday.

Today, we want to give and extra big hug and "Shout out!" to Greg Alt who is joining us with his twins, Ava & Conner on the eve of their birthday. Mr. Alt has been joining us as a Watch D.O.G. every year since his oldest daughter, Abigail was in kindergarten in 2019.20. Thank you Mr. Alt for your years of service as a Watch D.O.G. and for making an upcoming birthday extra special.

For those who know, Ms. McMahan, Mrs. Taylor, & Mrs. Childers form the room 1 Dream Team and they come up with the most creative door decorations every year. Going into year three, you would wonder if they are running out of ideas...then this!
