A personal message.

A short dance week for me.
YMCA tomorrow, but then a week off. I need to take a week for family time.

One of our daughters has a UW-Madison campus visit and we have a celebration of life to attend in Wisconsin on Saturday for my step dad, Willie. The word step seems to diminish the role he played in my life. He became my second dad when I was very young. He married my mom when I was 12 but he had been around much earlier than that. He passed away peacefully last Monday. He will be deeply missed. He had a great sense of humor. Always the jokester, even within hours of his passing. We always had a bet on the games between Vikings and Packers. I was winning this season but he was such a good sport.

He is at peace now and I am at peace with that. He had been sick for the last 2.5 years.

See you all soon on the dance floor. Hug or call the people you love today. Life on Earth is short and some are gone too soon.
