How long have you been dancing?
🩰 I’ve been dancing for 13 years

What’s your favorite style of dance?
🩰My favorite style of dance is hiphop

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in dance?
🩰The most important lesson I learned in dance was believe you can, and you will.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of SJDC?
🩰 My favorite thing about being a part of sjdc is how unique everyone is. We are all such different people with different opinions but we still come together as a team and appreciate eachother for who we are.

What will you miss most when you graduate?
🩰 When I graduate I will miss all the memories we’ve shared in class. All of the jokes and laughter we’ve shared together will hold a special place in my heart.

What is your plan after graduation?
🩰My plan after graduation is to go to Montclair State University and major in dance. I hope to one day be dancing professionally and choreographing for shows and famous artists.

✨ Senior Spotlight - Jordan Fisher ✨

How long have you been dancing?
🩰 I have been dancing for 14 years!

What’s your favorite style of dance?
🩰My favorite style of dance is open/contemporary!

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in dance?
🩰The most important lesson I have learned in dance is patience. Dance showed me that growth doesn’t happen overnight, and not every accomplishment happens right away. Some days are harder than others, but every challenge shaped me into a stronger dancer and person. It taught me to trust myself, keep pushing forward, and appreciate how far i’ve come instead of only focusing on where I what to be.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of SJDC?
🩰My favorite thing about SJDC is the family it gave me. These people became so much more than teammates- they became my safe place, my biggest supporters, and some of the most important people in my life. There is something so special about growing up surrounded by people who love you like family, especially the teachers who believed in me and pushed me to be better on days I couldn’t do that for myself.

What’s will you miss the most when you graduate? 🩰I’m going to miss the little things the most - walking into the studio every day, our parking lot talks, laughing in rehearsals, backstage hugs before going on stage, our summer breaks, and being surrounded by the people who watched me grow up. SJDC has been such a huge chapter of my life, and it’s heartbreaking knowing it’s coming to an end. No matter where life takes me, this place will always feel like home to me.

What’s your plan after graduation?
🩰After graduation, I will be attending West Chester University to study Special Education and pursue my dream of becoming a special education teacher! I will also be on their dance team!

How long have you been dancing?
🩰I have been dancing for 4 years overall but 1 year with SJDC.

What’s your favorite style of dance?
🩰My favorite style is Jazz or Contemporary!

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in dance?
🩰The most important lesson I’ve learned in dance is to always stay confident and to not give up when things get hard, improvement can’t happen if you’re not willing to push yourself.

What’s your favorite thing about being a part of SJDC?
🩰My favorite part of SJDC is just how loving everyone is. I was welcomed by all the students and teachers with open arms.

What will you miss most when you graduate?
🩰I’m going to miss all the friendships and connections I’ve made with everyone. I’m also gonna miss all the memories and jokes we’ve all shared.

What is your plan after graduation?
🩰My plan after graduation is to attend Coastal Carolina University to major in Psychology and also be on their dance team!
