Happy Fourth of July from Laurel Community School!

Today we thank God for the freedoms we enjoy and remember those who have sacrificed to preserve them. We are grateful for the opportunity to teach children to love truth, serve others, and use their gifts for God’s glory.

The 2025-26 school year has come to a close for Laurel Community School, and we head into the summer months with joyful memories and fond experiences at our new Woodbury location.

Our final Family Night program of the year was May 22nd. We opened by singing, "There is a Fountain" by William Cowper. Students gave presentations on some of God's designs including "Water" and "Planets." We danced to a lively Virginia Reel (folkdance), recited poetry by Eleanor Farjeon, and closed by singing "Amazing Grace" by John Newton.

What a blessing are our families! We are oh so thankful for each and every one of you! Have an amazing summer!

We had a great field trip to Feed My Starving Children! So great to serve along with the kids, working together as a team to pack meals for kids in Burkino Faso, praying that God would nourish them through this food and help them to know His love.

Watercolor painting class on Friday is so much fun! One of the key steps to making neurographic art is "rounding the corners" at every intersection of lines. Everyone used a pair of complimentary colors to create a stained glass-like painting of their first initial. Here is a collage sampling of our work.
