It's with a heavy heart that I am leaving my Health Science teaching position at CCHS. I have had an nursing opportunity come up that I cannot turn down so I am posting here in hopes to help find a replacement. I cannot say enough good things about this school, my co-workers, and these students. Our community is such a wonderful place, and I hope to find someone that shares my love for health education and Cannon County. We will need a licensed Registered Nurse to fill this position. Shout out to Hardee's of Woodbury for serving a 1st period class at the high school! The class won a food drive contest by bringing in the most requested food items for a local nonprofit! We are CANNON because we are a community that helps each other!

Thank you for all the support we received today from the CCHS Fall Blood Drive! While we fell just a little short of our projection, we still have some celebrations!

-We collected 23 units of blood. (Projected collection was 26 units).
-Two donors were "double donors".
-We had 9 First Time Donors; (6 completed donations!!)
-BIG Achievement TODAY: (3 gallon donor) and (4 gallon donor)
-Nine of the 23 units were donated by faculty/staff!!

As always, the American Red Cross staff was highly complimentary of the atmosphere in our school. We will host another in the Spring so plan to be there!

We just wanted to extend our thoughts and prayers out to all of the families that were affected by the tornado this weekend. We know this is an extremely unfortunate situation and we are thankful everyone is safe. We are also so pleased and thankful to see how much the community has come together in this troubling and unknown time. If there is anything we can do please let us know. Everyone please stay safe. They are still asking for volunteers at this time. You are required to go to New Hope church to check in. There is also a disaster relief center set up at Cannon North (formally known as Westside).
