🚨 Help us send a message to USTR!
The domestic tire industry is drowning in a flood of imports, and workers and their communities are paying the price. Since 2024 alone, nine domestic tire plants have either closed or announced their closures, costing roughly 7,500 jobs – including those of more than 6,000 USW members.
This week, our union sent a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer calling on him to initiate an investigation under Section 201 of the Trade Act to limit tire imports and develop relief measures to strengthen the sector and increase domestic jobs and production.
