I started caring for children 17 years ago. I wanted to stay home with my children. I was blessed to raise my children and be there for every milestone. My philosophy and mission was simple. Create an environment that I would want if my children were in childcare without me. I did just that. I dedicated almost 2 decades to making sure children were given high quality childcare, loved, create a partnership with the parents, fed well, and have loads of fun!
We joked about doing dangerous things carefully. We did just that. Children were given the freedom to explore, make decisions on their own, encourage independence, let them trust their judgement and to trust their own bodies.

In 17 years of running a daycare I also got married, had my third child, was bed ridden and diagnosed with crohns, a mom to three very busy children in all the activities, helped my husband start his own business, a wife to a volunteer firefighter, lost my husband, and moved twice in one year.

Thank you to each and every one of you that has cheered me on, carried me when I couldn’t carry any extra weight, supported my crazy ideas and loved me unconditionally.
I am who I am because of opening my home and heart to 100s of children. I am beyond grateful for the trust that was given to me and my staff. It has truly been a gift.

How do I begin to explain what Lindsey means to me?
Lindsey was the first person I ever interviewed. We were both nervous. I just had this feeling that she would be an excellent fit in growing a daycare. She has been in the trenches with me for 15 years. I couldn’t have asked for a more patient and dedicated employee and friend. We have grown up, learned many lessons and raised not only our own children but 100s of children together.

Josh joked about you being the other wife. My work wife. You keep me going, Lindsey. Lindsey, you have been a crucial part of not only my life, but the daycare’s, Josh’s and my children’s lives. Without you I don’t think I would be standing. I’d have wobbly legs, shaky hands and a heck of lot more tears. Not seeing you 40 hours a week or more (let’s be honest) is the hardest part of this all. I don’t know how to work without you. I don’t know how to parent without you.
Thank you for being such a huge asset to the daycare and to me. Children are braver, sillier, and smarter because of you! You have made a difference in so many lives. You are loved beyond words. I am so excited for your next chapter and what life has in store for you. You are braver than you realize and I am in constant awe of who you are. I love you so very much!!!

Jada started at the daycare the summer going into her senior year. She was an instant fit! She jumped in like she had been there for years. The children loved her from day one. Lindsey and I could finally catch a breath. Jada is a natural with children.
Jada aka “Shayda” is heard throughout the daycare whether that’s to ask where she is or because that’s who they prefer to take them to the bathroom or to build a castle with.
Jada, when I interviewed you I knew you were going to go far in life. You are determined,level headed, smart, mature beyond your years, nurturing, kind, a team player and hilarious! I can’t thank you enough for not only being a part of the daycare family but being a huge asset to Lindsey and me.
Wherever life takes you, you can count on Lindsey and I to cheer you on! We love you so much!!

Raising chickens at daycare taught them how to be nurturing and responsible. I absolutely loved having chickens with the daycare kids.

Our very first Summer Bash was in 2012.
Some of these daycare kids are now engaged, parents or going to be parents, graduating high school, breaking records in swimming, graduating college and making a name for themselves. We could not be more proud of having such amazing kids throughout the years and getting to be a part of their lives.
