🌈 The Color Monster Sensory Activity

The week we started explored feelings and emotions through The Color Monster! 📚

The children matched colorful pom-poms to different emotions while practicing:
❤️ Angry
🖤 Afraid
💛 Happy
💚 Calm
💙 Sad
🩷 Loving

A simple activity, but so much learning! The children worked on fine-motor skills, color recognition, emotional vocabulary, sorting, concentration, and sensory exploration—all while having fun. 🥰

I love activities like this because they give children a fun way to learn that ALL feelings are okay, and we can learn to recognize and talk about them. 💕🌈

🍂🐄 It’s been a little while since I’ve shared an update! 🐄🍂

The children at Many Mini Friends have been VERY busy learning, exploring, and having fun! ❤️

Throughout September, we’ve been learning all about community helpers and school 👩‍🚒👮‍♀️👩‍🏫🚌📚 — learning about the people who help our community and what it’s like to go to school. So many fun conversations, activities, crafts, and hands-on learning!

And now it’s time for a new month and two FUN themes! 🎉

🐮 October: Farm Animals 🐷🐔🐴
🎪 Carnival Theme 🎠🍿🎟️

We’ll be learning about farm animals, exploring where our food comes from, and bringing a little carnival fun into our learning with games, pretend play, creative activities, and lots of hands-on fun!

I may not always get a chance to post everything we do, but I promise these little friends are always busy learning, growing, creating, and making memories! 🥰

OMG! 😂 I had a salesperson ring my doorbell today during rest time, even though I have a big red sign on the door that clearly says, “It’s rest time. Please do not ring the doorbell.”

I opened the door assuming it was one of my parents coming for an early pickup. Instead, there was a lady standing there asking me about an energy survey.

I pointed to the sign and said, “This is a daycare, and it is rest time right now. Please read the sign.”

She turned around and said, “You are sooo rude!”

I said, “Please read the sign,” and closed the door. 😂

Now I have to ask… was I really in the wrong?! I’m just trying to keep a house full of sleeping babies and toddlers asleep! 🤦‍♀️😂

💗 The moments that remind me why I love what I do…

Today I received the sweetest thank-you basket and beautiful flowers from one of my Many Mini Friends families. 🌸🎁 This family has been with me through all four of their children, and now their youngest is getting ready to start big-boy school next week. 🥹❤️

I don’t think people realize just how hard it can be to say goodbye when you’ve cared for a child since they were too little to even crawl. You watch them grow, learn their little personalities, celebrate their milestones, comfort them when they’re sad, and become such a special part of their lives. Then suddenly, it’s time for the next chapter. 🥺

I am so incredibly grateful that this family trusted me with all four of their babies over the years. What an honor and a blessing that has been. ❤️

Thank you for the beautiful flowers, thoughtful basket, and especially for the kind words. They mean more than you know.

I’m going to miss each and every one of you so much! But I’m also so proud watching them grow into the amazing little people they are becoming. 🥰

This is why I love what I do. ❤️
The children may eventually leave my daycare, but they will always have a little piece of my heart. 🌸

🌧️☔️ Rain or shine, our Many Mini Friends still love getting outside! 🌿💦

A little rain doesn’t stop the fun! Our little ones enjoy fresh air, exploring, playing, and experiencing all the fun that each season brings. 🥰🌧️

We make sure everyone is dressed appropriately and ready for the weather. Rainy days can be just as fun and full of learning as sunny ones! 💕👢

Rain boots + rain suits + happy little explorers = a great day at Many Mini Friends! 🌧️😊

🍎📚 Welcome, September! 📚🍎

The school year is officially starting back up, which means school buses are out, little ones are back on the roads, and traffic is picking up! 🚗🚌 Please remember to be mindful of the speed limit and allow yourself a little extra time during drop-off and pick-up. ❤️

With the new month comes some exciting new learning at Many Mini Friends! 🌟

We are saying goodbye to our Construction & Babies themes and welcoming lots of new adventures, learning opportunities, and fun! 🥰

And, of course, our days will still be filled with our daily activities, hands-on learning, sensory play, crafts, stories, and plenty of playtime! 🎨🧩📖✨

I’m excited to see what September brings and all the fun our Many Mini Friends will have learning about their school community and the amazing people who help keep it safe and running! ❤️
