’Twas the night before school, and all through the town,
Backpacks were stuffed, but not a matching shoe to be found. 👟
The lunchboxes were packed by the door with great care,
In hopes that tomorrow would soon be here.
The kids were all buzzing, not ready for bed,
Visions of friend groups and classrooms danced in their heads.
New parents sat nervous, with tissues aplenty,
While veteran parents smiled and said don’t you worry. ♥️
Just earlier, laughter rang out on the street,
The Great Zucchini brought magic no kid could beat!
Chalk covers the sidewalks in colors so bright,
And Kona Ice made the whole evening feel just so right. ❄️
So here’s to new friendships and lessons in store,
To Mr. Wilson, who will open our school’s front doors.
