Lake Ridge Elementary's PTO is about parents, teachers, and staff members working together toward a common goal.

That goal is creating a better school and a better educational experience for our children. We strive to create an atmosphere where teachers, administrators and ultimately our children can do their best work. The success of our organization depends on the involvement of the parents, teachers and administrators of our Lake Ridge Elementary School community. Skip the cooking this Thursday, August 27th, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and join us for our first LRES PTO Doubleheader Spirit Night! Both Five Guys and Campbell’s Frozen Custard are located right next to each other in Merchant Plaza, making it easier than ever to grab dinner and dessert in one stop! Tomorrow is the day! We’re putting the finishing touches on our Outdoor Learning Garden & Butterfly Sanctuary, and we’d love to have a few more volunteers join us.

Choose the shift that works best for you:

🌱 Shift 1: 8:15 AM – 10:30 AM
🪵 Shift 2: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
🌸 Shift 3: 1:15 PM – 3:15 PM

Even if you can only spare a couple of hours, your help will make a huge difference! No experience is necessary—we’ll have plenty of hands to guide the work.

LRES SCHOOL FAMILIES! The final phase of our campus transformation is officially here, and we need our school community to help us cross the finish line! 🏫🌾

Thanks to an approved $6,751.02 grant from The Home Depot Foundation, the Lake Ridge Elementary School PTO, Inc. is completely transforming our central bus loop island into an incredible outdoor learning garden and interactive butterfly sanctuary for our students!

Recently, the Cub Scouts and parents of Pack 1365 did an amazing job clearing out the bus loop island and cleaning up the campus. Now, it is time to build—and this project shows exactly what our community can do when we work together! Swipe left to check out our official project layout blueprint! 👇📊

We don’t need you all day! Can you or your teenager team up with us for just ONE quick 2-hour shift to help bring this garden to life?

🛠️ CHOOSE YOUR SHIFT MISSION:
1️⃣ Shift 1 (8:15 AM – 10:30 AM): Layout & Brush Prep — Trace garden grids, clear edge lines, and collect debris.

2️⃣ Shift 2 (10:30 AM – 12:30 PM): Heavy Assembly & Pathway — Build the centerpiece cedar beds and lay the stone pathway rows

3️⃣ Shift 3 (1:15 PM – 2:00 PM): Botanical Infill & Mulch — Mix soil, plant premium flowers, and secure mulch borders.

Get ready for one of the most exciting Field Day events ever! Students can purchase temporary tattoos for participating teachers and staff to wear during Field Day on June 8th.

We are very excited to share with LRES community an update on the island project! 🤩

A couple of weeks ago we met with Johnathan, the owner of Maksanty Tree LLC and discussed the importance of our bus loop island transformation. He completely agreed that we could make it into an inviting and usable space for our school community.
His crew of five lumberjacks 🪵😜 🪵graciously donated the company’s time, resources, and even their mastery into this project! The work that he and his team created is an amazing and magical transformation! He really is the real deal! Truly a great and active member of our community! 🤩🤩🤩🤩

I also would like to give a shoutout to Pack 1365. The week before Johnathan and his crew from Maksanty Tree started their part, our cub scouts and their parents showed up and removed all the rocks from the center and moved them for the crew. They also walked around the whole campus of Lake Ridge Elementary and picked up all the trash they could find! I couldn’t be more proud of our community!🤩💗🤩
