This week we start Unit 2 in Mathematics! We are covering measurements, area, volume, probability, and interpreting different types of graphs and visual representations. What do you remember about these topics? Let us know in the comments below!

Students have already attended a computer skills workshop, a study skills workshop, their first math class, and their first study session this month! They are continuing studying at home by completing modules in Google Classroom on their newly received Chromebooks and laptops. They are also making their way through typing lessons to improve their typing speed to prepare for the GED exams that are given electronically. Keep an eye out for weekly updates on our Evolvers at Evolver Academy!

First night of class was a success! Two of our Evolver Academy teachers covered whole numbers, operations of math, integers, the number line, and fractions.

By sharing the screen of a tablet during Zoom, we were able to do practice problems and explain concepts step by step. Students followed along in Google Slides while taking notes at home. None of this would have been possible without all of the donors who helped us fundraise for a full set of Chromebooks and those who donated their own, used laptops! Thanks again to our donors and supporters. You truly made a difference!

We received our next set of Chromebooks! 💻👨🏽‍💻

Tonight we will be holding our first workshop, focusing on how to use the Chromebook, Gmail, Google Classroom, Zoom, to type, and more. We are excited to officially start classes this weekend!

Thanks to all our donors and supporters that made this possible! Our students and teachers are excited to get back to classes 👩‍🏫👍🏻

We are so excited to share that we have successfully bought 6 refurbished Chromebooks and received 3 laptop donations! We couldn't have done this without the support of all our donors!

Just this past week, we have safely handed out all 6 Chromebooks to Evolver Academy students and plan on handing out the rest to support our 10 students enrolled for this upcoming semester.

Now that our students have Chromebooks or a donated laptop, we will be training them on basic computer skills and how to use Google Classroom before we OFFICIALLY start classes next SATURDAY AUGUST 22ND 🥳🙌🏼📚

Our team of teachers and enrolled students are excited to get back to classes, now that Evolver Academy has the means to continue teaching from a distance! 👩🏽‍🏫

We are excited to announce that we have already fundraised OVER $1,000 in donations within a couple of days!!! In addition, we've received FOUR laptop donations and already multiple inquiries into volunteering with our organization! Evolver Academy is off to a great start!

Our team of teachers and students are amazed at the support we have received and we all can't wait to start classes again, virtually, in a couple of weeks! We are so thankful for all the support and couldn't have done it without everyone!

Already our practice GED exam fees are 100% funded and the other two projects have made so much progress as well. There have been some inquiries about donating specifically to laptops, so the link has now been listed below! We are currently still working on our website being responsive towards mobile version and apologize for this inconvenience.
